The U.S. had an active military campaign in Iraq for what, 10 years and we still didn't completely root the b*stards out. So how long do you think we would be there if we went back again to deal with ISIS, 10 years, 20. To do it right we would be there for an entire generation, 30-40 years. Just because you crush an active military threat doesn't mean you have dealt with the problems that caused it in the first place. So you are talking about 50,000 men and women stationed in country, plus the buildup on the air and naval bases to support them. You might remember the U.S. had four divisions in Germany for 45 years. A 1000 or so casualties and a 50 billion dollar bill year after year after year with congress trying desperately to cut the deficit.

How about you go and destroy ISIS. Instead of sitting in your room in your underwear just typing. Take the guns that you have reserved for the hope of one day shooting a black person with and go over there and take down the terrorist group since you're so concerned.
