What's your opinion on Trump winning the following states?
Washington
Iowa
Maine
Michigan
Wisconsin
Ohio
Pennsylvania

If you look at primary results, 3rd place in Republican primary in WASHINGTON, a traditional blue state, got over two times more votes than first place Bernie Sanders in the Democratic primary.

Iowa, huge Republican turnout to primaries, much more than Dems.

Maine, again huge primary turnout.

Nevada and Ohio are the exact same. Trump in 2nd place in ohio got more votes than Hillary in first.

Now to the rustbelt states, PA, WI and MI. Trump is anti-NAFTA and Obama's policies have failed workers in these states. Could Trump win over these states, with their huge population of older white people who have populist views, explaining why Sanders won in WI and MI.

Opinions please :)

I doubt that how Trump did in the primaries will have much bearing on how he does in the general. I strongly doubt that he'll win Washington state, while the other states are generally considered swing (though Michigan and Pennsylvania barely so.) After both parties have their conventions you'll get a better sense from polling of what's likely to happen.

Never will he win. Remember, in the primaries it was only some registered voters who are registered with the party who voted. The populations are much larger and the general public did not vote. Based on what he has said and done, Trump has isolated many groups of people such as Blacks, Muslims, women, Mexicans, Latinos, etc. who he said he will "deport" or other issues with what he has done. All of these groups will not vote for him. This represents more than 1/2 of the American population. THerefore, I don't think that he stands a chance and will not win in this election.

He is mostly favoured in the South, and still there are many people who do not like him. Yes, Hillary may not be the best presidential candidate, but she is much better than Trump. Hillary will win this election, and it will all be for the better.

Yes, all of those plus Florida, Arizona, Wyoming, Dakotas, Idaho, American Samoa, New Hampshire, West Virginia, Alabama, Kentucky, Utah, Montana. Hopefully New York and Calif will not have corrupt DNC tampering with the election results.

I voted for Trump in the primaries because I wanted him to be Clinton's opponent. A lot of democrats did. And now Trump will lose the race.

According to recent polls, he's losing all of them by anywhere from .5% to 3%. He could win them, but he's got some ground to make up.
