You say that like it's a bad thing. Corporations went global a long time ago. If we don't establish global political institutions and global labor unions to balance their power our current Dark Ages global economy will only foster a greater disparity of wealth until the entire world population is divided into the very rich and the very poor.

It's the perfect scam. If the ambient temperature rises, they can claim they need more money and power to fight it and if it lowers they can say we need more money and power to keep it going in the right direction. Win/win for them. Lose/lose for the rest of us.
