Possibly but you have to consider the time frame.
Booth was a former Confederate soldier. The south was very anti-Lincoln, who was a Republican. So were the Democrats of Lincoln's time the same Democrats of today? Not really in any way, shape, or form.

He might well have been back then, hard to say--not sure anyone knows, but at one time the Democratic party was more of an all-white, populist party, similar I suspect to much of what we might call Libertarian today, and it also had a much more right-wing Southern component. The Democrats turned left during the Great Depression and is today composed of centrists and progressives.

Booth was probably a conservative democrat!
Why do you cons always ignore that democrats were 'conservative' during the Civil War era?

Possibly. The Democrats have always been the party of the Godfearing patriotic family values South.
