Why do people hate Obama so much?

I'm not trying to be stupid and I'm serious so I'd appreciate you NOT trolling on my stuff or giving me a smart *** answer.. I'd like honest opinions.. I'm a high school kid thats interested about politics and I say you can't talk about what you don't know about. State your answer and the reason for it pleaseee.

The people that "hate" him are ignorant. The reason they "hate" him is because he is their worst nightmare. An intelligent , Nobel Prize winning, African American who is actually trying to do good for his country.

The harder he tries the more he is "hated". The fact that this African American is the duly elected President of this great country only makes it worse. The fact that the cognoscenti of this country would dare to elect him adds to the fire. They hate him because he is Black, intelligent, and is recognized as such by the intelligentsia that elected him in an overwhelming victory in 2008. They hate him because deep down in their shallow souls they know he will be re-elected in 2012.

People hate Obama for a number of different reasons. I am a young democrat living in houston, texas. All I can tell you from listening to my friends (who don't watch the news and don't vote) is that Obama has ruined this country and/or is the anti-christ. The fact of the matter is that half the people who claim to hate the man so much don't even turn on the evening news to get educated on the fact that he's simply a man trying to fix an economy that was messed up LONG before he ever even went into office. I mean, google a little thing called "voo-doo economics" or "reaganomics" (same thing) You will see that these problems and this multi trillion dollar debt we are in is because of an old man with a horrible idea. Good intentions, yes. And for a while, we were loving the benefits. But we eventually screwed ourselves. In a nutshell, Daddy gave us a credit card, we maxed it out, and now we're screwed. Obama has been in office for 3 years. This crap has been 30 years in the making. Unfortunately, between the ignorance of our apathetic citizens and the color of his skin, they're all blaming him. Let me give the writer of this question some valuable advice. Don't listen to what all these people on Yahoo have to say. It's true, money doesn't grow on trees, but years of the US making the mistakes we've made doesn't clean up overnight, either. they gave him 3 years, now they hate him. And for what? Good intentions? Research the man himself, what he's done since he went into office, what his intentions are, and how he's trying to fix things. Make your own decision. What haters on yahoo have to say isn't even worth taking with a grain of salt.

First of all you seem to say that all people hate this or that, that is what people call a generalization and when you resort to that you will find that almost nobody will give credibility.

He won the last Presidential election so it shows that not all people hate him and I for one do not hate him or anyone of the other candidates that have shown up so far I disagree with most of them but I do not hate any of them disagreement does not mean you hate someone I just think they are misguided and we go on from there.

I don't hate Obama. I disagree with his policies, politics, philosophy, values, governing actions and appointments. Like the Gibson Guitar company. He had Federal marshalls raid it and take away their property just because they don't donate to him and aren't unionized. And also because they provide Americans with jobs that aren't dependent on him to "create". That's horrible. I wrote him a letter and told him he did wrong and that he should apologize and give them back their stuff. But I don't hate him, I just think he is doing many things wrong. I do think he is sort of doing the war on terror right though. I ought to write him a letter and tell him that to. Anyway, I suspect some people hate him, even though hating anyone for any reason is wrong. If they do its probably because his actions hurt their lives financially or something.

People dislike Obama because most don't understand the magnitude of what he is facing.



People think the economic can magically get better. It took Bush 8 years to destroy - 3 years is not long enough to fix the economy.



Obama is strikingly similar to JFK - however the physical allure of JFK makes him much more liked than Obama



The two are similar in they both had/have a lot of fantastic ideas, but did not/do not have enough time, or enough resources to initiate them.



I feel like Obama will lay out the groundwork for many presidents to come as far as social services, economic plans, and personal relationships go, and will ultimately be viewed as among the top 15 or so presidents.

Must people did not like Bush that's why they voted for Obama. Obama ran as the anti Bush. He has continued many of the things Bush was hated for, i.e. wars, bailouts, patriotic act, no transparency, ramming bills before reading... so people feel they were tricked. Compile that with high unemployment, massive debt and people are pissed and rightfully so.

He promised, if the country spent more on his stimulus, he would fix the unemployment problem. He got his stimulus and the unemployment rate went up. He said his healthcare would help create jobs. His healthcare bill is now cited as one of the main reason small business is not hiring.



Obama has been an economic disaster on this county.

Hating presidents and criticizing government is an American national pastime. It's one of the few true freedoms we have here. We don't have to love our leaders here. We can hate them and call them monkeys or sewer scum and not be sent to a torture camp.
