Question:
Does anybody have a big problem with Biden using the F word?
?

I do because it shows what a low class scum is his. I don't care if "everyone" uses that word, I don't and I'm proud of it. Since when is it OK to use such language?

Among my attorney friends and acquaintances, one or two are known for their foul language. Not their skills or intelligence, but their foul language. I think it marks a person as low class and won't allow it in my home. I also feel like a dinosaur, so... Welcome to progress?

I think this was, as expected from him, tactless and classless. I was in the military and sometimes use language that can literally make a sailor blush - However, there is a time and a place - I do not use that language when making a presentation at work, or chaperoning a field trip with my children and their high school buddies or in the presence of older folks...

I don't necessarily agree that using foul language is a measure of your intellect but it is certainly a measure of your character. I do have a crass and vast vocabulary that I choose to use amongst certain people. To use it openly in very public venues or where you will be disrespectful to others is inappropriate and tasteless. In this case, to the American public and the children in attendance.

But at this point everybody knows crazy uncle Joe doesn't mean any harm, he is just a twit.

Its for sure only a huge deal because hes a political candidate and part of a political celebration that is getting a lot of warm temperature those days. no man or woman reported he became a saint. Its humorous how the persons that ***** about others doing what they're not meant to do, continuously seem those doing it even as no man or woman is searching. solar in Scorpio Moon in Libra Asc in Aries

According to Eric Idle, the FCC has a problem with it. He used the word on the air, and claims to have been fined $5000 each time he said it. I don't really care if he uses the word constantly, it's just a word, but he shouldn't be uttering the word on a national broadcast, he's supposed to be smart enough to know that.

Joe Biden is a puppet on a string and who ever had that shift let go of one of them! By the way what ever happened to the President and Vice President being kept separate? Is them always being seen together to save money on secret service?, I think not! After the White had uninvited guests you would think they would tighten up security a little bit! You are 100% right the Vice President should be more of a gentlemen than that language displays even if it has become a common term! In the Black community it is too common for blacks to use the word towards one another! What would happen if a caucasian stood on a corner in Harlem using it all day?

Since I only heard him use this word once on the 25 years he has been in office, I do not see this as a serious problem. Its not part of my daily vocab either but I have uttered the word a few times over the years.

I get you don't like Joe Biden, but he is NOT low class scum.

As Biden being an individual, I don't have a problem with it. With him using it in a political setting, especially of that magnitude, it can reflect poorly on us as a nation. All in all though, it shouldnt be something to get overly worked up about.

50s are that way -->

I've never even understood why people are offended by curse words. They're just words. It's not like its the n-word which has centuries of racism and hate attached to it.

The words "f*ck" and "sh*t" are only considered inappropriate because people in the Dark Ages had a superstition that these words were related to witchcraft and the plague, and somehow, their taboos have persisted into the modern age, despite no rational basis for it.

It was in what he thought was a "private" discussion, between he and Obama.

I, for one, don't care what people do in private.

I do wonder if you were equally offended when VP Cheney used the F-bomb on the floor of the Senate, while they were in session (which means it is now part of the official Senate record), when he told another Senator to go "F-" himself.

Absolutely not. Biden, a very kind and honorable man, was exclaiming privately (he thought) in joy realizing how much this would help so many people, how much death and suffering would be eliminated. After 100 years of trying to get health care improvement, it was perfectly appropriate.

In contrast, Cheney was being mean and spiteful when he used it.

Lets see, Cheney used it, Bush used it. Reagen used it. So I guess he's keeping good company. They always forget there are live mics all around them.

Biden is an idiot, period!

It's truly a pathetic age when so many here brag about using such a classless term. No self respect. Sad.

Exactly. Politicians like Biden and Cheney should show a basic respect for the office they occupy.

it is not acceptible language, especially not in mixed company in front of the world news audience. it definitely exposes his lack of class and respect for protocal. of course, what do you expect from the moron.

I'm conservative & can't stand Biden & what the current administation is doing. But I could care less about someone dropping the F Bomb. As long as my little kid didn't hear it. There's many more important things to worry about.

Not at all. I can't think of one person that hasn't said f**k sometime in their life. This just shows that he is average just like every other person on the face of the earth.

It doesn't bother me, but it is pretty irresponsible for an elected official. Cursing just means you have a poor vocabulary and no other means to express yourself.

I use it at least 500 times a day, and I don't know anyone else who doesn't, he comes from a working class part of Pennsylvania, what do you expect?
