Question:
Why can't liberals understand that just because you're gay doesn't mean that you have to be for "gay rights"?

I love how they laud over how certain gay politicians who have voted against "gay rights" measures. They think it's hypocritical. Just because you're gay doesn't mean that you want to prance around in the street and shove it in people's faces, aka, "gay rights." You can be gay and against "gay rights," you know....

An individual who preaches against gay rights, hides being gay and then is found out is properly designated a hypocrite by anyone with common sense.

The main issue is not what liberals understand or don't understand, so your question is an ad hominem attack on liberals in order to try to obscure the issue of the hypocrisy. You could easily have left the part about liberals out of your question.

Anti-gay marriage rights zealots claim repeatedly that allowing gay marriage will infringe upon their rights. Since the ONLY way gay marriage could infringe on any rights that have would be if they were forced to marriage someone of the same sex, it's a valid way of pointing out the absurdity of their claim.

Rights does not equate "shoving it into people's faces." How is anyone even supposed to have a rational debate with you? You are so closed off from reality it is impossible. Being against equal rights is bad enough, but most do it because they think being gay is immoral. Any politician who is gay likely understands that they don't have a choice in the matter, and are hiding their true selves. If they don't, them they are idiots.

Ummmm that makes no sense. Why would a gay person not want the same rights as the rest of us? It isn't about shoving it in other people's faces, it is about having the same rights as everyone else and be treated equal. Not better or worse, just equal.

That's not a very good argument, friend.

I think any gay politician would want to fight for gay rights, if for nothing else, to ensure that he could be comfortable and open about his sexuality. Not dress in leather codpieces and shove it in your face but, you know, not have to live in secret?

A black man isn't a black-nationalist just because he's opposed to the idea that blacks should be slaves. Similarly, people who vouch for 'gay rights' aren't necessarily people who want to "shove it in your face" as you put it.

Standing up for your freedom shouldn't be seen as a nuisance.

Why should you care what liberals think here when you αssholes can't understand anything. That's why you need Fux News, to formulate opinions and tell you what to believe.

Interesting definition of gay rights. It is certainly confusing for anyone to be against their own rights being violated. Kind of like a criminal objecting to having his miranda rights.

I can't think of any rational reason why a gay person would be opposed to gay rights. I don't think you have a valid point on this.

you see when you can point at someone and call them hypocrite (rightly to not) it automatically discounts everything said person believes.

and doing that will somehow force anyone who has any beliefs that resemble said person to change their mind

I guess that somehow makes sense to liberals.

wierd that so many in the obama administration cant figure out how to pay taxes yet they all want to raise taxes..... and this isnt a problem.....

Making a CAREER out of attacking gays, while being yourself gay and denying it, and cheating on your spouse while pretending to be a "family" man, is only one thing - pure hypocrisy.

You are right. It is possible for somebody to be a self-hating gay.

That makes as much sense as being black, and being against civil rights.
