Barack Obama had a party. OK, so 40 million was donated...but 130 million was taxpayer money. Glad to know that I went to work so he could put on his little show. Maybe he could have taken that money and fed a few million people in Africa for the next couple of years. You know those people who were dancing in the streets because he won. To the victor belongs the spoils...at the expense of the taxpayer....me and you.

Your figures are off, but I would have a good time with all that money and so would my family and friends.

If you asked nice I might even give you some.

The taxpayer paid for 75% of the inauguration and that is a fact, you can find that on CNN or any other website. And yeah, it could have been used for a much better purpose than to party the night away, I think they could have had a nice party without all the hype and the big price tag.

Well, you answered the question already. You could feed a lot of people for 130 million dollars.

Bush was excoriated for spending $43 million for his inauguration. Are the people who complained then complaining now about the $130 mil? Gee, why not?

Taxpayers paid for transportation and security. President Obama was given the inauguration that was given to every other President in modern times. It isn't his fault that he is the most popular President and has record crowds wanting to be there.

I would buy all the really expensive cars I can and an RPG and one gernade for each car and have a party and destroy every one.

blah..blah...blah....the government spends billions of dollars every year just to maintain our current nuclear stockpile of 4,000+ nukes. when in reality we only need about 100. there are plenty of things to ***** about but the government but spending a little more on a historical event isn't going to cause me to lose any sleep. write your congressman or stop crying
