We've all heard the arguments, and we've all heard the excuses. Just remember, however, that each of the 1000+ civilians who have died in this recent uprising is an individual with just as much right to live as you or me.

I don't support Hamas, but no one can deny that what Israel is doing is wrong, both legally and morally.

This isn't a question, it is a request: Take a stand, not for your political views or ego, but for the value of human life.

Israeli got attacked by terrorists. Israeli has been sueing for peace for over a year, all the while they are getting attacked over and over. Do they not have the right to stand up to the people attacking their civilians? Why? Because they're Jewish? That's the only reason I can think of.



The Hamas are terrorists. They legalized crucifixion in Palestine, and use children and women to form human shields.



The Israelis are defending their populace. They are kind enough to call in and try to get citizens to leave before striking Hamas targets. If they don't leave, Israeli tends to call off the attack. How many countries would do that? We should be applauding their efforts to minimize civilian casualties, not playing into the hands of the Hamas when they use propaganda and lies.



Israeli has already proven their strategy works. They fought with Jordan and Egypt, and then signe lasting peace agreements with most.

The more news I hear and read about Israel, the more negative it gets. Israel isn't necessarily in the wrong for killing those people, they did it to protect themselves but like you said, every individual life should be valued...



You do kind of see alot of parrallels between the Nazis and the Zionists. The Jews are basically using this provocation for mass genoicides, not to mention to clear up the land soon. German nationalists had this idea of a volkstrum or a type of community that has its social life invested in the state. The war isn't propagated by a hatred for a race of people. It's a conventional war between two "governments".



Unfortunately, the Palestinians have a terrorist organization modeling as their representation -- not something that's beneficial concerning diplomatic relations with any other government. A disagreement with this kind of international relationship generally leads to "war".



As for the collateral damage -- it's unfortunate. The Palestinians should oust Hamas...then if the killing continues they can make that parallel to Germany and Hitler.

Jews in Germany weren't firing rockets or blowing themselves up to kill Germans, on the contrary they were a productive, well behaved segment of society that somehow got turned into a scapegoat. Israel has tried to help create an indepedent Palastinian state and pulled its troops out of Gaza in the hopes that they would fire fewer rockets. Instead, they elected a terrorist group to office and fired more rockets at Israel. Would the US or any other country tolerate daily rocket attacks against its civilians? Is there any other strategy for fighting urban guerrillas who deliberately hide and attack from heavily populated civilian areas? The war is terrible, but Israel's actions are understandable given their situation and certainly not comprable to Hitler's.
