Question:
Should I join the American Communist Party?
2007-10-22 14:41:37 UTC
I realize that its a lost cause. But I do support China. And the way I see it, America is so corrupt and decadent, that if I try to change things "inside the system", I'll either lose out to people more cruel than me, or become so evil myself that I won't stand for anything.

Better to be a man of good character fighting for a lost cause than a successful goon. Look at all of history's heroes with the exception of militrary men like Napoleon, none of them played inside the sytem even when thier cause seemed dire and hopeless.

I swear, I will never understand why conservatives think democrats are communists. Is it because they don't read? Do they not know how to read? Is there some kind of group that can help them? Some kind of publicly-funded, socialist-style institution that can show them the symbols and enable them to learn to make words from them? Do conservatives think that schools are useless?

Apparently.

Anyway, stay away from Communist China. It's essentially the same as fascist Germany only without the constant state of war. No liberal is safe in China.

What a shame that you're buying all the BS that you hear at NYU.

Here's what you need to know and how they evolve:

Socialism with a capital S and Communism are the same form of government.

Monopolies even run by the government are not good. Competition is good for business if companies are monitored and regulated.

Capitalism and making money is good if they are not exploitative and are monitored and regulated by a democratic form of government.

Government run companies leads to socialism. Socialism leads to dictatorships and the loss of rights and the abuse of the people by those who run the socialistic state.

Socialism leads to communism. Communism means that everyone shares everything and no one owns anything but the state. Everyone is equally impoverished regardless of the limited electricity and oil supplied to your nice two room cold water flat owned by the state.

Come on, who really wants to support or live in a government like that?

The US isn't so bad, it just has its highs and lows. Support your country when it's in trouble and it will reward you when it isn't.

The CPUSA is pretty conservative these days. Except for their strictly emotional attachment to certain regimes, some Republicans and Democrats are further to the left than they are.

All that remains "communist" about them is a name that makes right-wingers whine and froth at the mouth.

If you're serious about a Marxist alternative, check out one of the Trotskyist groups. But beware - the decay process is at work in them, too. If you're honest about Marxism, you have to be prepared to go into opposition to the leadership of any group you join.

Why now not in easy terms resign your US citizenshipand bypass to China? then you definately ought to incredibly help them. turning out to be a member of the Communist party contained in the U. S. isn't organic. that could be a wimp's way of pretending he's a communist. yet he receives all some large advantages of residing in a democracy. turning out to be a member of the Communist party contained in the U. S. isn't noble. authentic, you additionally could make no distinction. yet you're mendacity to your self. How noble is that? you assert you will get rid of the variety of government you help by utilizing final interior the rustic and that is rules.

Yes, but why turn to a failed and ridiculous ideology? Communism is fundamentally and fatally flawed. It does not work because it is not designed for humans. It's not "a good idea that fails because of human nature," it's a BAD idea. Our country being corrupt and decadent is a symptom of a cause you can only affect from inside the system. That doesn't mean "play the system like a finely-tuned viola and you'll get to manipulate the system later," it means get a clear idea of what changes you want to see and devise the best plan to affect those changes.

Communism is a proven failure that allows power and money to be funnelled directly to the government...that doesn't breed decadence and corruption?

UPDATED

To the poster above me--you are just so fundamentally wrong it's sad. Nothing that doesn't work is great "in theory." Communism and dictatorships are certainly not theorhetically great. They require that humans deny their humanity. They are best left in arcane books that few people understand. Democracy makes sense and is great in theory because it acknowledges fundamental truths and rights of the individual. Communism and dictatorships (fascism) do not.

All forms of government are great...in THEORY. Democracy is great if you have a bunch of people who take care of each other, because the laws they pass will not step on others, but that never happens. Communism is great if the people in charge do not become corrupt, but we know that all people become corrupt when in power. Even dictatorships are good in theory. Think of a man or woman who rules justly and makes good decisions to improve the lives of his or her citizens. Yet we know that dictators become corrupt as well. Governement isn't the problem, its the people who serve in the government who need to change.

the democrats are not even remotely socialist, they shld be but there not. Our soceity is built for the rich 'capatilists'. There is nothing democratic about our current system. It works like this;

party wants in power=

needs publicity=

money=

appeal to the rich=

**** the poor=

us,

party like the comm party wants in power needs;

publicity =

cant appeal to rich because they are against them, cant appeal to the ppl because they dont want to know-they think there life is good and cant be bothered with communism wich has been unjustly demonised.

So bascically the comm party has nop chance until the world goes to **** because of capatilism and its ridiculous short sightedness.(eg. what are we goping to do with our entire infrastructure oil and gas run out in 70 years?-but ppl dont want to know)

But the world will go to **** and ppl will get pissed and we will either get fascism or communism.

SO my answer would be if your young join the kkk, or the communist party. If your old join a party thats doing well and enjoy your corrupt lifestyle.

???

Government corruption has nothing to do with model in use. Republican, Democratic, Communist, Socialist, Fascist, Theocratic, they are all very compatible with government corruption.

You think the Chinese government is significantly less corrupt than the U.S. government? I think you have some things to learn.

Of course not. Join the Democrats. Compatible agenda, and an oportunity to actually accomplish something.

Plus, the FBI won't open a file on you...

You could even be a fundraiser for the Clinton campaign, since you get on with Chinese communists....

People with your attitude only contributes to the problem. A person that sees their cup half empty instead of half full will always have a problem no matter where they live or what they choose.

America decadent and corrupt.Soviet Union was as much corrupt and cruel. The "wonderful' communism is China killed more people than the corruption in America.

Nothing positive from this action is likely to manifest! Use freedom of speech and the press instead! You will acomplish more with less flack.

They will never win so don't. Side with the winning side, that way you never lose. Look at all the info before the election and see who is ahead. Then ask people who they like then vote for the person who gets the most favorable responses.
2007-10-22 14:44:56 UTC
yes, america does have it's problems, thats for sure. but all countries do. but to not have freedom, hmmm, you wouldn't be able to be on the internet over there, for one thing. it's probably just better for you to be a good person and keep evil at bay.

If you have to depend on Y/A for your decision, then I say that you are ripe fodder for the communist party - they, too, will do your thinking for you and gladly take on the burden of you actually having to make your own decisions.

Orwell had it right about communism- some people will always strive to be more "equal" than others.

According to it's bylaws, the RCP is opposed to gay rights, (Maoism and all), and requires you to marry whilst in your 20's to another party member and to have children ASAP. So I really wouldn't suggest it.
2007-10-22 19:31:52 UTC
between Mao and Stalin, probably about 7-10 million people were murdered!!

i guess you might fit in with that mind set!!

very tragic!!!
2007-10-22 14:50:12 UTC
Hey you sick commie freak! I got two words for you: Pol Pot. This commie Hero of yours killed more people than you could shake a red flag at! The most lethal, psychotic killers in this planet's history have all been commie. And you want to join these wack-jobs? You are obviously deranged and full of Commie Kool-Aid! Please leave this country as soon as possible. And don't come back 'cause I ain't gonna leave the light on fer ya!

2007-10-22 14:45:27 UTC
Right on sir. I hope to join a Socialist party myself some day, which I think in America,it's the same party. It's the way forward.

Do what you want. I really don't care.
2007-10-22 14:44:07 UTC
