Do the math;

UK, with gun control 18 firearm homicides.

US, with no gun control >9000 firearm homicides.

The crime rates, apart from murder, are roughly equivalent in the UK and US. The criminals do not carry guns in the UK because no one else does, including the police.

That's an empty argument on both sides you've given.

In this country you can buy a gun, legally, one place and take into areas with extreme gun control laws, as long as we have no national laws that actually ban guns no laws will work. We effectively have no law, even background checks can be gotten past with private sales or gun shows.

To prove your point, you would have to point out nations with strict gun regulations that also have HIGHER incidents of gun-related injury and death.
