Why does it seem that nobody in the Media cares about the death of Gen. Greene?

Whenever a politician dies while in office, the media stops and focuses only on that for two weeks, but a U.S. General dies in the field, first since the Vietnam war, and the media hardly covers it. Why? And why no half-staff order by the President? Whitney Houston and Nelson Mandela got that respect, but not for a man who served most of his life defending this country? It's shameful in my opinion, regardless of where you stand on the political sphere.

I don't know what you're talking about. Governor Cuomo has ordered flags at half staff for General Greene, and there are many news stories about it, if you bother Googling for them. The one below is from CBS.

Soldiers go into war- there's always a risk of being killed. Many soldiers have been killed in Afghanistan. We should be mourning all of them, not just a general.

no one had ever heard of greene... it's tragic, but death alone doesn't usually make something newsworthy...



I mean it's been in the news some, but you seem to be asking why it's not a major story...

To be fair, he is a soldier in a warzone. I'm not sure that it is news per se. Tragic for his family and friends...but they don't really ever talk about that stuff much.
