That's the only time a terrorist attack will happen...

One man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter - a person can only be fighting for freedom if they have someone who is negatively affecting them, or oppressing them. If a person or group of people feel as though they are being oppressed then if they feel it's necessary they'll resort to 'terrorism' in order to bring about change.

I don't agree with the tacticts of the 'terrorists' (attacking random people, but there are degrees to that as well) but I'm all for armed struggle, should it become necessary.

The US is the largest terrorist organization economically, politically, and militarily worldwide.

The chance of any one individual being killed by terrorists in the U.S. still comes out statistically thousands and thousands to one. Just divide population (310 million) by the 1500 killed in the 9-11 attack.

That fact that anyone loses sleep is testimony to the greatest liar since Adolph Hitler.

Terrorist attacks are likely to happen when an ideology needs to be dissolved by the US. Terrorist attacks have the distinct quality of putting people against the terrorist.

If the US wanted to dissolve Christianity, Christians would become terrorist.

Yes I do.

Anytime you try to change other people, you will meet resistance.

This is one of the very few truths in life.

If you are known for being a different religion and come in trying to change things, you are going to meet even more resistance.

Change that does occur is going to meet with reactionary movements to change it back, if the society was not ready for it, and promoting it themselves.

you can reduce terrorism eventually by throwing money and lives at the situation, but not near as much as minding your own business.

Whackos will always be around that will want to cause human suffering and death, for all sorts of reasons. This is where we need to train community leaders to see the warning signs.

Read my answer here and you'll see why our own intervention might be our own biggest problem:

Do you think a "terrorist" attack would give them a good excuse for more intervention?

No offense, I think you are thinking about it in the wrong direction.

But to answer your question...theoretically yes.

In 1958, just before he left office, President Eisenhower convened a group of strategists to determine what would happen in the mid-east in the coming decades.

They delivered a message that was a little chilling: if we continued our practices over there, then there would be attacks in the near future -- possibly even on U.S. soil.

Islamic Terrorists have been at this war for over 25 years with DOZENS of terrorist attacks, bombings, hijackings, and murder that target US citizens around the world. So based on that, it stands to reason that this country's foreign policy in the middle east for the last 30+ years has had something to do with it.

The fundamentalist attacked this country because we are in their countries. If we were not based in the Middle East this country would be safer but Israel would not exist therefore I don't know how not to be in the Middle East as it was the land where both Judaism and the Muslim religions were founded additionally Christianity was founded there too.

Absolutely! The main reason why we were attacked on 9/11 was because of our policies regarding Israel and the rest of the Middle East.

I think the biggest determining factor of future attacks is the lib myth that terrorists are not an eminent threat - a return to the Clinton era.

Their hatred of the west is not dependent upon anything we do or, do not do, but our safety is.

Of course ... Two reasons:

1. bombing or violence only attracts more hatred towards us. Only trade can result in peace ... not bombs

2. the US is always the world police while no one has ever asked us to be. On top of that, we are not peacekeepers. We give food to countries that we attack ... a bomb then a rice bag to make us look like we are caring.

Take the example of the bombing in Syria ... do you think we made more friends there???

Where were we "intervening" on Sept. 11, 2001?

Depends where. Panama and Grenada did not develop terrorist movements after the USA occupied them. The Islamic world is different. Stand on their feet, and they'll try to stamp on your head.

Of course they are. To the person who said that they would hate us regardless, what is your historical backing for this? Oh, I forgot. They "hate our freedom." Wise up fools.

For an action, there's a reaction. If you hit someone, don't complain if that person hits you back.

Uh...der. Terrorism is not a real threat, though. It is a mask for us to invade oil countries. I know you are sick of hearing it. Frankly, I am sick of saying it. People keep bringing up terrorism. Listen, you were fooled. Wise up.

Yes. It's bad enough we have to deal with our own radicals. When we get involved with our countries conflicts we have to deal with theirs too.

I guess you'd rather have the United States be an isolationist nation.

The last time we tried that, we landed in WW2.

terrorist attacks are fake... they are actually done by the United States Government and they frame someone else for it.....

I really don't think it matters either way. Terrorists want us dead intervening or not.
