That is because you don't see the beginning of what happens. The protesters do something that is a problem, like blocking streets or sidewalks, and the police tell them to clear out. At that point if they don't clear out they are violating the law, and the police move in to break up the protest. In order to do this eventually they have to use tear gas, and that is when the videos you see start.

I notice that you didn't mention the breaking into the Oakland City Hall, but I guess in your world the police pushed the protesters through the doors into the building. Or the blocking of the Brooklyn Bridge by the original OWS.

The First Amendment gives them "the right of the people peaceably to assemble." Everyone seems to ignore the peaceably part of that.

Actually people don't have the right to get together and engage in various illegal activities including assault, rape, theft, and battery. Which is what the OWS scum call 'protest.'

The OWS movement is a useless bunch of worthless thugs with no future or past. As irrelevant as any rabble ever, just much more violent and smelly.

Just today some OWS trash were arrested for hitting a police officer in the face with a brick.

So, how long have you been a liar? Tea party rallies have been marked by proper applications to march, with peaceful gatherings where the people clean up after themselves, and with the participants giving due respect to the officers and city workers around them. So far the OWS does what it will, without regard to regulations, ignoring any fees, costing cities massive amounts of money, all while showing blatent disrespect to both police and fellow citizens. You also lie in claiming the Tea Party was in any way associated with Gabriel Giffords. A mentally ill man with no ties to the Tea party was responsible. He wouldn't recognise a political affiliation if you shoved one down his throat. So, what's your gripe with a group that is following the rules in participating in the political process?

We have the right to peaceful protest but during that protest, laws must be followed. The OWS movement is about civil disobedience. They are breaking laws that interfere with the rights of others. They should go home. Defecating in the street, rats, filth, noise, illegal camping, destroying property, closing roads and ports. For what? Its costing communities millions of dollars. This is not regarded as a protest as defined in the constitution or local laws.

What you see are biased points of view that you obviously refuse to try to find more in depth information. What they are not doing is getting a legal permit to do what they are doing. There isa right and a wrong way to do things regardless of what you feel about the situation. Andhow can you possibly ignore the rapes, attempted rapes, extreme theft, pictures of trash and defecation on a police car, oh and don't forget the two MURDERs; but other than that they are completely non-violent.

Oh and the only people they are hurting are those who they claim to desire to help ....

Bc disobeying local ordinances while in the process of destroying millions of dollars of public property and leaving in their quake thousands of dollars more of after clean up, not to mention all their inappropriate behaviors and the various crimes they have committed along the way, gives PD a right to move them along. Protests that are that destructive cannot be simultaneously, productive. Nothing good has come of OWS, but that has not been their rallying master, Obama's, intent, either.

The police and Fox News are just the company goons, beating and killing people who dare stand up against their robber baron, corporate overlords.

Because the police are a bunch of pigs that are sucking on the upper bosses di*ks to get every penny to do what they're told. More money for the pigs the more they get violent.

It's bad PR to run around spreading democracy while people in our own countries are protesting. So the government invents excuses to crush them
