Liberals if Palestinian are peaceful people, why do they jail LGBT people in Gaza?

Being peaceful has nothing to do with their beliefs about homosexuality. Christian evangelicals, Mormons, orthodox Jews, think the same way but in the U.S. we dont arrest gays any more but we did not so long ago. I dont think there are any jails in Gaza, only in Israel.



What does Hamas have to do with this issue? Yes, Hamas was elected to be the government for all Palestinians but they dont have any authority because Israel took over Gaza where Hamas moved after the election. The PA still has the only actual authority because thats what Israel allows, in spite of Hamas being elected.

The definition of peaceful here isn't inclusive of how well LGBT rights are treated in Palestinian society. That's considered a separate issue.



Gaza implies Hamas, which isn't peaceful as per their own words and rhetoric. Even if Israel has peace with Fatah, they say they'll never agree to it and their actions support this claim. As they control Gaza, they also control the fates of LGBT persons in the strip and let's just say that its NOT pretty.



To them, being gay is a huge sin, so they make gay male relationships and sex illegal. As explained to me by someone else, the only reason they don't outright ban lesbian variants is because they don't even consider that sex, and should be noted that they still turn their head or outright support violence against them. LGBT persons are routinely tortured - graphically so, its been reported - and put to death, so many stay in the most heavily guarded closets. All because it's a sin and one in which they believe is so against their god that they must react to in violence.

Because you are making Palestinians into just the same homogenous group that cons make of liberals. Not all Palestinians are alike. The majority of them just want to live their lives in peace.



Now, I'd like to see your evidence for the jailings of LGBT in Gaza, because I suspect you are just assuming that, and you know what assume does.

Because Gaza is ruled by Hamas, a fundamentalist sect of Islam, they show no mercy, and no compassion towards others. Not all people of Muslim belief are radicals, Gaza is ruled by Hamas and they are radical religious nuts who wish to live in the 7th century
