Question:
If we bring back the high tax rates of the Eisenhower years, should we also bring back....?

prayer and displays of the Ten Commandments in public schools, laws against abortion and stigma against unwed motherhood, strict border enforcement and deporting illegal immigrants, and get rid of affirmative action, welfare, the EPA, Medicare and Medicaid?

Should we bring back the TRADE SURPLUS, too? Hey, remember we were a creditor nation then, until Carter lost our trade surplus and we became a debtor nation a few years later because of that.

If we want to bring back the Eisenhower years, we can't pick and choose, We have to bring back ALL OF IT.

Yes, bring it all back or none of it. Don't cherry pick! I'd say many of the other factors you list had more of an impact. Do they have affirmative action programs in China? No.

Also, much of the rest of the industrialized world was a lump of smoking ruins too.

Excellent question.

we would stability the cost selection in under 4 years, and repay the debt in approximately 10 years. of path, different us might initiate protecting autos long whilst they're paid off, we would see extreme college young ones spending their spring breaks and senior journeys at interior sight entertainment factors as a replace of at coastline or tropical motels, and we would provide up extreme ingesting in different different methods. by using fact of decrease intake, different different factors of society from the 1950's might come back via themselves. with a bit of luck not one of the disadvantages might return, alongside with crimson-baiting, racism and different styles of bigotry, prejudice, lack of know-how and hatred.

Except in today's dollars you would have to earn millions per year to qualify for the top rates.

There is no valid reason we can't adopt the tax rates without the other items you list.
