Financial ratings agency Standard & Poor's reported this week the 16-day U.S. government shutdown costs delivered a massive $24 billion hit to the U.S. economy.



Standard & Poor's said the shutdown equaled some $1.5 billion a day and "shaved at least 0.6% off annualized fourth quarter 2013 GDP growth." Moody's Analytics reported similar numbers, saying the shutdown cost $1.4375 billion per day, for a $23 billion wallop to U.S. gross domestic product.

Because Obama is a lousy president! They know that the hurt Obama inflicted on everyone was deliberate and had absolutely nothing to with the sequester except an excuse to blame Republicans.

America has had some great presidents, many mediocre ones and a few bad ones. But we’ve never had one like Barack Obama. He’s the first who thinks the job is beneath him.



He’s the first who turns political give-and-take into a crisis by refusing to negotiate with Congress.



He’s the first who thinks the way to more power is to inflict pain on ordinary people.



The move to barricade the World War II memorial reveals the mentality of a tin-pot dictator. The limited government shutdown did not need to affect the memorial because it is open 24 hours, without gates and often without guards.



But to turn public opinion in his favor, Obama’s goons trucked in barricades to keep out World War II vets and other visitors. By one estimate, the barricades and workers cost $100,000.



The same punish-the-people attitude led to shutdowns of other parks and historic sites that get no federal funding.



“We’ve been told to make life as difficult for people as we can. It’s disgusting,” a Park Service ranger told The Washington Times.



The ranger cited the order to close the parking lot at George Washington’s home in Mount Vernon so visitors couldn’t use it. The cheap trick captured the contrast between a revered president and the current one.



I’ve been saying for a while that there is no bottom to Obama. He’s not just ruthless. He’s without scruples and honor.



Now the shutdown has ended, it will bring only a temporary respite from the crisis atmosphere in Washington . When it comes to his countrymen, Obama always chooses conflict over cooperation.



Meanwhile, Jimmy Carter can rest easy. We have a new worst president.

We need to remember that during the first two years of the Obama first term, Dems had a lock on Congress and they didn't need Republicans at all. The failure of Obamacare has now been blamed on Republican lack of support and Obama himself railed against them saying that the legislation had been passed by both the Senate and the House, so he didn't understand their complaint.



Apparently our president has forgotten that Republicans weren't needed but Reid et al drag them up when someone needs to be blamed for something that Democrats actually wanted. Obama himself wanted the gang of 12 to decide where cuts would be made, knowing that they wouldn't be able to come to a consensus for the betterment of our country therefore the Sequester was forced.



Democrats allowed it, Republicans get blamed for it, which is what happens when we have a ruling party that doesn't do anything of value, just likes to divide and point fingers.

First off, the sequester was the brainchild of a Democrat, by the name of Barark Obama. However,since no Democrat, especially Obama can be blamed for any cuts in spending, they usually lie about the problems Democrats create.



Secondly, the liberal Democrat answer for any and every problem is to increase spending to solve the problem.



Therefore, any time there is any type of reduction in spending, in the Democrat fantasy world of liberal idealism, spending cuts are a major disaster, for which there can be only one solution.



That solution is always the same; raise taxes and increase spending.
