Question:
Did Trump continue to say he would release his taxes after a routine audit? Did he say he would release his taxes in a debate with Hillary?

Is Mick Mulvaney right that the people voted knowing he didn't release his taxes and therefore the issue was litigated during the election? That all of the promises to release are null and void now.

The “issue” isn’t a simple gander for the American people at what Trump makes anymore. His full tax reports will be a roadmap to his foreign entanglements and relationships that could put him in a compromising position as President when dealing with those countries.

Nope he forgot that promise when he put his hand on the bible in January 2017!

Every other major party candidate for the last 40 years has released their tax information. Trump didn't.

Then Trump promised he would. He still didn't.

He has no one to blame for any additional negative scrutiny but himself.

A verbal promise to release private information isn't legally binding. Good god, you people are idiots.

I hope he doesn't release them. I want to watch liberals cry about it continually.

Trump should not release taxes. He is avoiding another witch hunt, a good thing to do.

I was promised a $2500 reduction in my healthcare premiums per year. It’s been ten years.

ALL THROUGH the campaign Trump promised to release his taxes after the audit was completed. He also said it was ILLEGAL for him to do so while there was an audit.

So you could say Trump voters voted for him based on this promise (and other promises). But even during the campaign we could see he had no real intention of keeping his promises. He promised things that were virtually impossible. He never explains how he planned to get Mexico to pay for the wall, or to round up 11 million illegals dispersed through the country, mostly because NOBODY ASKED HIM, because the media didn't take him seriously. He never released a single detail about his Obamacare replacement that would cost less, cover everyone, and we would all love it. And it's a little hard to believe that 10 years of his tax returns were still under audit.

In retrospect, I don't think his fans would have thought any different of him if he'd just said his taxes were none of our business. I believe that's what he's saying now.

I'm not sure why Mulvaney thinks the House can't get Trump's returns. The law is pretty clear, and in fact it was written following the Teapot Dome Scandal with the specific intent of getting the president's tax returns in situations where he was unwilling to give them voluntarily.

Is anybody really surprised Trump doesn't keep his promises? I would think Mulvaney is correct in that everybody with half a brain expected Trump to hide his taxes unless they are wrestled forcibly out of his hands. Mulvaney is incorrect that an election is a litigation. After all, he accepted a job offer from Trump thus proving he isn't all that bright.

You know, he may have. I don't remember with certainty. But it's nothing for Trump to either deny it, or failing that, just change his mind.

Why haven`t you figured out by now that trump is a pathological liar? Mulvaney says what he knows trump wants to hear.

With a few people in the Supreme Court who are indebted to Trump. One who got his lifelong appointment with allegations of Gang Rape hanging over his head the Democrats will never see Trump's taxes but forcing this into the court system only exposes how desperate he is to hide whats in the tax returns. Why go through all of this if you are innocent?

So, listening to the crap the dems are spewing now on everything from climate change to reparations, is it your intention to hold them to this? Or do you know it is kinda all a lie?

That's what cons think, to just say is innocent but even they dont want to see the evidence because they know trump is garbage

The Democrats know they will never see them. They just want to make people suspicious of Trump

The IRS can't release Trump's taxes. Liberals are barking up Pelosi's skirt.
