Question:
Can we conclude that anybody who hates America supports terrorism?
2010-04-04 03:34:30 UTC
America has always been about freedom. We've fought several wars, saved several countries, toppled several dictatoships, so foreigners can enjoy the same freedoms we do. Example: Iraq, Vietnam and Afghanistan. We even aided Europe after the world war two to help modernize themselves and help them in the path of democracy. We have NEVER supported terrorism. The USA has always, ALWAYS, been the country that represents freedom, democracy, liberty and opportunity. Can we conclude that any foreigner who hates America supports terrorism?

If America is so free ... :) how come it has the highest prison population the World...

The US (a "so called" democracy) has a population of 307million and a prison population of nearly 8 million.

Communist China (a dictatorship) has a population on 1 billion+ and only has 1.6 million people in prison.

Iran (another evil..."wont give us their oil". dictatorship) only incarcerates about 25% of the number the US does per head of population.

If America has always been about freedom .. how come its never fought a single defensive War in its history since Independence... but has engaged in countless offensive wars based on greed and international criminality..

How come every foreign Leader the US has ever supported across the World .. in its history has been a criminal whose sole purpose was to assure poverty, corruption, suffering and sustained under-development...

Early examples:

*** In 1952 to protect the interests of the American United Fruit Company (Chiquita Banana) which maintained a virtual stranglehold on the Guatemalan economy, the US government and CIA removed the freely elected President Jacobo Arbenz. The ensuing conflict resulted in the deaths of over 250,000 people... followed by the removal of Mosadeq in Iran in 1953.. etc etc..

all the way to ...

*** The invasion of Iraq, based in virtually no evidence and in complete breach of all accepted International law .. the US invades Iraq on a forum of "an alleged and as of yet unproven relationship with the perpetrators of 9/11" and "a disproven claim of possession of WMDs" despite the fact that the US has no mandate as to Iraq's or anyone else's possession of WMDs etc without the UN.

How come the Dulles Brothers... self proclaimed Nazi supporters and international finance specialists for Wall Street firm Sullivan and Cromwell and also Nazi financiers.. were instrumental in aiding Europe after WW2 particularly when it was the US which armed Germany following the Treaty of Versailles

How come a sixth of Marshall plan moneys went straight to US oil companies.. to stamp out coal production in Europe.

If America is all about freedom, how come a further sixth of Marshall plan moneys were paid specifically to the French simply to stamp out independence uprisings in Indo-China and for the other nations to consolidate their empires.

The reality... America is an evil, racist empire ...and Americans are an evil, murderous people and this is the only reason they remain successful .. becuase the US is far more evil than the British Empire, the Nazis , the Communists, the "so called terrorists" or indeed anything the World has yet to see...

No, that would be a silly conclusion, wouldn't it.

I regret that you are mistaken about America having never supported terrorism since it actually trained and, for a while, equipped the people you now regard as terrorists. From some people's perspective, the fact of the USA kidnapping terrorist SUSPECTS from around the world and holding them without charge and without trial in places like Guantanamo Bay actually IS an act of terrorism. How can you reconcile this denial of the rights and freedoms of another person with your claim to be a country dedicated to freedom? They are as innocent as you until proven guilty according to proper legal process .... or does your alleged freedom and justice not extend beyond your borders?

Some people might understand what the USA is doing and even be prepared to turn a blind eye up to a point so please do not be so naive as to assume that anyone who criticises the USA is its enemy. You do you and your country a great dis-service by your silly tirade.

You're talking about a country that has more often than not delivered "freedom" at the head of a uranium tipped missile, and toppled democratically elected governments in order to install its favoured dictators. A country where, up until the nineteen sixties, a black man often could not travel on the same bus or drink from the same fountain as a white man.

Historically, and recently, the USA has used certain techniques in warfare which could definitely be described as terrorism so don't give me that exceptionalism bollocks.

You can worship and salute your flag (Stars and Stripes) all you want, but don't let it blindfold you. I accept that you're probably trolling but there are millions of Americans who actually believe all that bullsh*t - look at all the idiots that voted for Bush.

1. The Supreme Court doesn't "hate America". There are 9 justices on the supreme court, and I don't believe any of them (even the 3 remaining justices who committed high treason by appointing G.W. Bush to the presidency against the will of the people) hate America. 2. The Supreme Court doesn't support terrorism unless it comes directly from the White House, in which case it's called patriotism. 3. As another respondent mentioned, the Supreme Court didn't give rights to the Guantanamo detainees (few if any are terrorists, btw), the justices read the Constitution and acknowledged their existing rights which had been unlawfully suspended by Bush and his gang.

That's a stupid conclusion.

There is no way you can possibly say that Iraq, Vietnam and Afghanistan have the same freedom as America. I think that's pretty obvious.

No, those who love America support terrorism by America. You make it sound as though you are the saviours of the world, when, in reality you are just the puppets of global capitalism and the New World Order.

you may want to check in with Hanoi(not Saigon, aka Ho Chi Mihn City) and see how the whole freedom train is going.

Can we conclude that we didn't fund and train the Mujaheddin in Afghanistan in the 1980's. Can we also conclude that they didn't become the Taliban? Can we also conclude that we used the illegal sale of weapons in Iran to fund illegal right-wing death squads(aka Terrorists) in Nicaragua? Or that we sold weapons of mass destruction to Saddam Hussein that he used not only on Iranians but on his own people?

America is a great country, but to think that we haven't done some underhanded, if not criminal things in our history(recent history at that) than I'd like a sip of whatever you are drinking.

Yeah if you're retarded (probably the case with this rant), OR, if you're a Repub (probably the case here too). Yawn. You do so support terrorism. Seen any of those home grown terrorists in the news recently? Watch the news sometimes.

I don't like eating peas. That doesn't mean I agree with eating junk food until I pop. It means I don't like peas.

The American nation is far from perfect, try looking at other countries, visiting them, seeing things from other points of view within your country before you proclaim yourself a nation of "Opportunity." And as for freedom I though there were more african american teens in prison that in school in your country? And don't your prisoners make all your liscence plates and other goods? Sounds alot like slave labour to me.

And in anycase, Terrorists don't hate your policies and ideals. They hate that you aren't the same religion.

not necessarily. It depends on wether or not that hate causes them to act to harm. That's like me saying that I hate France. I'm not going to go over and blow France to bits just because I hate them, therefore I am not a terrorist. However if I joined or greatly supported an extremist group bent on annihilating France, then yes, that is terrorism.

Well if someone who thinks Iraq, Vietnam and Afghanistan were/are about freedom for foreigners and not about US economic interests says it's true then it must be true...
2010-04-04 04:23:35 UTC
USA helped modernise Europe? The UK modernised the USA you tool. Don't talk about Vietnam because you lost that war. Iraq; you couldn't invade without British help. Afghanistan; killing freindly troops and civilians in "friendly fire".

I don't hate America, I just hate Americans like you.

I don't hate American because I'm a terrorist, (I am a Marxist though, which is related to communism)

I hate America because of attitude like that. Think about it, if America is about freedom, then shouldn't I be free to have my own opinion of America and NOT be judged because of it.

no retard, just because u dont like a country does not make u support terrorism. you could not like america cos e.g. USA gets involved in things it shouldnt be involved in, Vietnam was unnessasary

Terrorism is about action, not a feeling, someone can hate America and not be a terrorist. But if they support terrorism against the US than they should be treated as so.

Not necessarily but very few people expressed hostility towards USA. Examples include Muammar Qaddafi ,Osama Bin Laden . One can draw one`s own conclusions
2010-04-04 03:46:25 UTC
what if you lived in Iran, cuba or chile?

you know, the nation's where they U.S. supported corrupt leaders, some of those leaders even killed people?

I think you would have a pretty good point if you lived under pinochet's rule...

overall though, I think the U.S. has done many good things... but they've made some pretty big mistakes too...
2010-04-04 03:38:04 UTC
No. We can conclude that as an American you have a different world view of yourself.

A bit rich when the US allowed terrorists to collect money to kill British civilians.

So to answer your question, no.

i don't hate america, i hate americans

also i'd like to point out that americans funded the IRA
2010-04-04 03:37:51 UTC
dropping an atom bomb of innocent civilians is not an act of terrorism?

You can conclude whatever you want, that doesn't make it correct.
