So far none are working very well...A couple of years ago I saw a show about low cost/high efficiency flexible solar cells that were supposed to revolutionize things, haven't heard or seen anything about them since...

There is NOTHING that is ready to hit the consumer level. This is garbage and they have nothing.

Well, I am not a Dem, but am a lib. There are a number of green energy technologies that work tolerably well. In Australia, for example, solar technology is sufficiently developed as to be economically viable. The question is not workability, but willingness to develop the technology. Markets as much as know how power such things.
Cheers.

They work on small scale projects but are not about to revolutionize the industry at this point in time . I think our best choices are hydro dams and wind power.

Most of the green energy solutions work, it is just that they have a prohibitively high overhead cost.

The Bloom Energy Server has gotten a lot of press recently
Extracting oil from algae might be a big part of our energy future for powering diesel vehicles.
Algae absorbs carbon dioxide and reproduces rapidly; hundereds of "crops" per year instead of just one as with crops like oil or beans.
Running our trucks and trains on algae oil would drastically reduce our use of petroleum.
Just wondering though; are you hoping that we succeed in developing economical alternative sources of energy, or that we fail?

Please! Like a Liberal would know anything about work in the first place! And the only thing they know about "Green Technology" is what they hear from Obama and the Hollywood types! If it's not in a Obama talking point or a sound bite from some washed up actor, they know squat! Hell, they still believe Al Gore about "Global Warming"! How much more proof do you need that they are less than clueless!

and to think, the first automobiles run off steam engines
might not be revolutionary now, but with hard work and trial and error
maybe one day, there will be a balance
our money=our needs=our resources
if we don't, back to horse and buggy
and oil lamps

Don't worry, once we have spent hundreds of billions of the taxpayers money on it we might have a solar panel on the white house.

I am a Demolib and I don't believe in Green energy. I like gasoline.

We are YET to be enslaved for hussein's "genius" idea about highest green energy tech ever - stone-age wind-mills...LOL
