I will leave if the BNP gain power.
I will also leave if the tooth fairy is elected Prime Minister, and if Shergar wins the 2009 Derby, riden by Elvis Presley.
After all, these events are about equally likely!
50 councillors out of tens of thousands nationally, one London Assembly member and suddenly they're a government in waiting. It's hilarious.
Let's remind ourselves what the BNP stand for.

.... and that's why no more than a few overt racists and those stupid enough to be conned by them will ever vote BNP.
EDIT: I think very highly of my fellow citizens - whenever asked in a national poll over 95% choose to ignore the racist thugs of the BNP. The British people are NOT racist or stupid, which is why the BNP will never gain a sniff of power.
MORE EDIT:
"Also when asked 95% agreed with their policies until told they were the BNP policies so it shows what you know then!"
Could you provide a link to evidence that statement, because I don't think it is true?
Here is some evidence for my assertion:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/British_National_Party#General_election_performance
This shows that the BNP's best ever General Election performance was 0.7% in the 2005 election. So that's 99%+ of voters did not vote BNP.
It did, however manage 4.9% in the 2004 Euro Elections - so that's rejection by only 95% of voters.
EVEN MORE EDIT: So that's a 'no', then. You can't substantiate your ludicrous claim. Thanks.
Apologies - evidence provided. It's very interesting. No 95% anywhere - 91% support on one policy, but varied on many others.
This bit was interesting....
"There was however strong opposition to more extreme policies on race - asked if they agreed that non-white people were inherently “less British”, only 16% of people agreed, with 68% opposed. When identified as a BNP support dropped to 11%, opposition grew to 76%. A majority also opposed the government encouraging immigrants to leave Britain "
STILL MORE:
Hang on a minute - your quote was "95% agreed with their policies" - actually 91% agreed with ONE policy - most were far less and many were small minorities in agreement.
I suggest people read the piece for themselves and draw their own conclusions.
To suggest this evidence shows widespread support for BNP policies across the board is to mislead. It shows that some BNP policies have some popularity, which falls when associated with the BNP.
I didn't bring race up - it was a direct quote, copied and pasted from YOUR article, which YOU posted.
And let's be clear, I wasn't willing to do YOUR homework (i.e. provide evidence for YOUR claims) - I'd already done my own!
I didn't call you a liar, I said that a statement you made was not true, which we now agree it wasn't. I suggest you made a mistake, not that you deliberately tried to deceive.
I think I can feel a blocking coming on!
