This like most of what we see in front of us is a trickle down effect of an act of The laws imposed on the people decades ago concerning discipline of our children. Originally this was an act decades ago that was instilled during the years of Integration that prohibited you from touching "their children." It is called Child Abuse today. "Spare the rod Spoil the child" was installed. Now we see children having tantrums & time out was implemented because guess who did not want discipline. By the way in 1968 in school we thought white kids had mental issues-only because us Black kids had never seen another kid fall on the floor,kicking and screaming because an adult(Black or White Teachers) would tell them to sit down. This was a behavior some chose to learn and look at the effects of a lot of things that were done racially motivated from those times today. Many of the younger generation are clueless to what is going on now but many of the older generation has watched many of the trickle down effects of things done for the wrong reasons decades ago. Now we all suffer-all our children, No matter What color! The Creator of All Creations paddle will be The Answer to All. Sooner or Later realization of United We Stand Divided We Fall will kick in. It's a brand new day but there is always a price to pay for being STUPID. And usually the price is not affordable,as you can see. We were programmed for this outcome and willingly helped them do it to ourselves. Fear was imposed by threat of being jailed for spanking your child. Molesters have more freedom with our children than the parents themselves.They don't care enough to keep up with them afterwards to prevent it from happening again. It seems strange to send a person to jail for molesting a child, then has not spent a penny on a permanent tracking system to know where they are always. Morals,values,pride,education,the tools needed for real life throughout the years vanished or have been banished from their learning. Driver's ed,health & physical hygiene, and much more vanished everything that helped our children then is no longer in the budget. For every dollar we spend we receive nothing that Helps Us. Money for spaceships,missiles,billion dollar airplanes,the lists goes on & on is available yet our children attend schools without enough books(They take turns sharing them at the schools in my area because they do not have enough to give each student) Go Figure. Wake up people & pay attention to what is happening and the results we are getting. It is Dog eat Dog Time!

How do you explain the fact that millions of kids have Playstation yet don't attack their mothers with claw hammers?

Yeah. A white kid laced his family's macaroni and cheese dinner with finely ground glass back in 1977 because he read it in a book from the school library. They died from internal bleeding.

I wouldn't say the whole world...but definitely the U.S. It's that whole "entitlement" mentality that the hippies gave us...parents stopped being parents and started being "friends" to their kids....today's youth have 0 respect for their elders.
