Congress is unwilling to pass a budget. Regardless of what Obama proposes, Congress can pass whatever budget it deems appropriate. It has failed to do so.

Well, it depends if the U.S. Constitution means anything to you or not. And, actually the Democrat controlled Senate hasn't passed a budget, not Obama (Though Obama is of the same party and hasn't said anything to them).

Because democratics are never forthcoming and honest, it's difficult to answer your question. A fairly sound explanation is that they don't want the American People to know how they are spending your tax dollars.

Does it matter? Well, it depends on what is important to you. If you feel that the government should obey the law just like we have to, I would say yes, it does matter. But to some, it's so important that we have a certain political party in power, that they can't let it matter to them.

Here are some questions for you:

Should you trust Obama/democratics, or government in general, that much with your money?

How would you feel if Mitt Romney/republicans hadn't passed a budget in 1000 days?

If it was Romney/republicans, would you get riled up because your friends or the media told you to?

Remember, it doesn't matter which party is in power. Those would still be your tax dollars that would be unaccounted for.

1. Obama cannot pass a budget. The White House has presented its budget proposals to congress every year. It is congress that has not passed a budget.

2. The budget is merely a prediction of what will be spent and what revenue will come in. It does not allocate money and is not binding. So no - it doesn't particularly matter.

As everyone who has any brain at all knows, the president doesn't PASS things; Congress does.

As everyone who has been paying ANY ATTENTION AT ALL to what's been going on, Republicans in Congress have been blocking 99.9999% of all congressional business, including the most routine and "no-brainer" legislation, since Obama took office.

Blaming Obama for the fact that Republican politicians hate America is absurd.

It would be more accurate to say the Democrat controlled Senate has not passed a budget in over 1000 days.

Obama can't sign what doesn't reach his desk.

The President's Budget for Fiscal Year 2013

We now face a make-or-break moment for the middle class and those trying to reach it. After decades of eroding middle-class security as those at the very top saw their incomes rise as never before and after a historic recession that plunged our economy into a crisis from which we are still fighting to recover, it is time to construct an economy that is built to last.

The President’s 2013 Budget is built around the idea that our country does best when everyone gets a fair shot, does their fair share, and plays by the same rules. We must transform our economy from one focused on speculating, spending, and borrowing to one constructed on the solid foundation of educating, innovating, and building. That begins with putting the Nation on a path to living within our means – by cutting wasteful spending, asking all Americans to shoulder their fair share, and making tough choices on some things we cannot afford, while keeping the investments we need to grow the economy and create jobs. The Budget targets scarce federal resources to the areas critical to growing the economy and restoring middle-class security: education and skills for American workers, innovation and research and development, clean energy, and infrastructure.

The Budget is a blueprint for how we can rebuild an economy where hard work pays off and responsibility is rewarded.

Itr's because a budget was never presented to him. Congree must pass a budget before it goes to the president. The last president to approve a budget was Bill Clinton in 1997. There hasn't been a budget in 15 years.

Because that would put a limit on his government spending, which he has made abundantly clear that he doesn't want to happen.

Congress must pass the budget. Presidents sign them.

You shouldn't be posting. You have no idea how American government runs.
