Is US killing China now? Will most manufacturing jobs in China move to Brazil, Indonesia and Africa, like what Foxconn is doing now? US is also blocking the transfer of shale gas drilling technology to China. If that's the case, US is winning, not China. What is China so cocky about?

The big factor is not fuel. China has plenty of coal I believe. The primary factor is labor. Can we beat $1.67 per hour labor rates? I you and millions of other Americans will work for $1.50 and hour all the jobs will come flooding back.

So all you young people pump out more than 1.2 billion extra babies and in a generation they will be hungry and desperate enough to take $1.50 per hour. That is if the Africans don't pump out a lot more and work for $1.30 per hour and undercut your children.

It looks like Africa will do that so don't count on your kids getting that $1.50. Africans don't need much for housing or clothing in their equatorial lands. Enough pay for food and water will keep them going.

The cost of energy pales by comparison with the cost of labor in any manufacturing operation. The only hope for American manufacturing is that China will be threatened by even more avaricious unions than American unions, who drove their jobs offshore, had been.

Because they are developing "underground coal gasification". Basically they are setting fire to coal mines and drawing off the methane and other gases produced. They have far larger coal deposits than the US and gasification produces cheaper gas for a far longer time span than fracking.

Shale oil and gas is one of the few bright spots in our economic future.

Reading about the humogous amount of this resource which can be developed

means we have a fighting chance in the future economic world.

PS; But first we have to rid ourselves of the closet-socialist cockroach

in the Oval Office and his herd of useful idiots.
