It Remains a Mystery.....These are the Facts :
Lee Harvey Oswald was born in New Orleans on October 18, 1939. His father, Robert Oswald, died two months after the birth, and when Lee was 3 yrs old his mother, Marguerite, sent him to an orphanage. When his mom remarried, he went back to live with her in Fort Worth. She divorced. He had 2 older brothers who remained in Texas when he and his mom moved to NY in 1952. He misbehaved in school, was sent to a detention centre, and underwent psychiatric treatment. He joined the Civil Air patrol in 1955 and the following year became interested in politics. He told friends that he was a Marxist. Lee quit school at 16 and joined the U.S. Marines. He got into trouble for being in possession of an unregistered weapon, and in March 1958 he was found guilty of provoking an argument with a sergeant. He became a supporter of Fidel Castro. In 1959 Oswald left the Marines, travelled to Finland, and quickly entered the Soviet Union, applying for citizenship. He was rejected, so he attempted suicide by cutting his wrist. He was kept in the hospital for a week and allowed to remain in the country, working as an assembler at a radio and television factory. He met Marina Prusakova, a nineteen year old pharmacy worker, and they got married. In June, 1962, he was given permission to take his wife and baby daughter to the United States. They lived in Fort Worth, Dallas and New Orleans. He worked as a steamship clerk and an illegal bookmaker. In 1963, he wrote to the Fair Play for Cuba Committee and proposed to rent a small office at his own expense for the purpose of forming a branch office to aid in Cuban political affairs. Oswald was arrested for fighting, and on August 12, was found guilty. After getting out of jail he visited Mexico City, where he visited the Cuban Embassy (attempting to get permission to travel to Cuba). His application was turned down and he tried to get a visa for the Soviet Union and was again rejected in 1963. He moved to Dallas, rented a room, and found a job.
On November 22, 1963, President John F. Kennedy arrived in Dallas with his party ( wife Jacqueline Kennedy, Vice President Lyndon B. Johnson, Governor John Connally and Senator Ralph Yarborough). Also in the presidential limousine were John Connally's wife, Roy Kellerman (head of the Secret Service at the White House), and the driver. At about 12.30 p.m. John Kennedy was hit by bullets that hit him in the head and the left shoulder. At 1 p.m. Kennedy was declared dead.
Oswald was interrogated by the Dallas Police for over 13 hours. No tapes or transcripts could ever be produced by the interrogators. Oswald publicly denied having been involved in the killing of Kennedy.
On November 24, 1963, Oswald was being transferred to the county jail. During the transfer, as Oswald was led through the basement of police headquarters, a man rushed forward and shot him in the stomach. The gunman was quickly arrested by police officers. Oswald died soon afterwards. The man who killed him was later identified as being Jack Ruby.
There is a lot of supposition, too many gaps, too many coincidences ........ I have only given a brief summary of the man who was declared the murderer of President John F Kennedy. You will have to read and draw your own conclusions. Did he or didn't he ............... that is the Question.
