How many other Bush SUCCESSES has Obama tried and FAILED to duplicate?

Bush's watchlist system worked for 8 years and 3 days. Even if you start counting with the shoe bomber on 12/22/2001, it kept us safe from airliner bombings until 12/25/2009.

If the system worked that long, why did it fail less than one year after Obama took office? The problem is not the system, it's the people who are now runing it.

They took a system that was working, and in less than a year it fell apart.

The BP oil spill was the same story.

The Deepwater Horizon oil drilling rig first entered service in 2001. It operated for 8 years with award winning safety. In 2009 it won an award for exemplary safety through all of 2008.

Then in 2010, it blew up and caused the worst oil spill in history.

What changed? The president.

Is it time to stop chanting the old mantra "Bush started it," and start taking a closer look at the man who was in the driver's seat at the time of the crackup?

My understanding is that the programs were very different, and GWB did it in cooperation with the Mexican government. It concluded while GWB was still pres. This is something entirely different not to mention despicable

Perhaps you failed to notice that the system continued to work by catching potential bombers. Or do you think that the entire DHS policies and personnel were changed when he took office?



And while it's true that F&F failed, Wide Receiver was not a success. Or maybe you have another explanation for why criminal indictments were filed against WR participants?

The Bush era program was well managed, was well supervised, had specific goals, contained a small amount of weapons which were tracked, and had an end date.



The Obama program was arrogant mayhem compounded by cover up and the death of a Border Agent. It indicates an administration completely out of control.

It's pretty simple really. A pile of s*** was dumped into the hands of the Obama administration, and Bush Jr. gets to sit back in his reclining chair, smile, and pretend to be a hero. He's not dumb. He knew that going to war would create jobs, and then when his term was over, he wouldn't be in office anymore, so who cares?



As for the gunwalker thing. Bush left the new administration stretched thin, not only personnel, but also budget, debt, and people hanging in the wind at war.



The reason our economy is so bad is we're starting to pull back more troops. Duh, what the heck are they going to do in the civilian sector? Your unemployment rates go up because there are more people suddenly looking for work, and that, my friend, makes the president look bad when it wasn't his fault.
