Question:
Wanna see the difference between liberals and Trumpsters? Today's NY Times front page vs. answers from Trump's sycophants here in Y!A.?

NY Times: "They were not simply names on a list.  They were us."  100,000 people dead, including children and young adults, and the number is growing every single day. Nearly all of the people killed would still be among us if they hadn't caught the virus.
Trump supporters: "...the virus has claimed most of the low-hanging fruit." "I think we can all agree that those people that are killed by the virus were on their last legs anyway." "The number of people being killed by the virus is being greatly exaggerated to hurt Trump." "Most of the people that died averaged over 80, so those people were going to die anyway." "I'm healthy and fit so I don't have to worry about catching the virus."
Those of you who have lost loved ones due to the virus, don't the comments from Trump supporters make you feel better and warm your heart?

The US has a unique spirit of 'individualism'.  It was individuals who settled out west, who conquered the wilderness, who made inventions and discoveries, etc. etc.

To the Republcians, 'individualism' means selfishness.  I got mine, f*ck you.  We don't want collective solutions to problems.  The economy is a zero-sum game, so for me to be a billionaire I have to cheat everyone else.

This translates to: The poor are poor because they're lazy and unworthy, so why should we are about them?  Cheating in business is okay because being successful is all that matters.  If other races/ethnicities have equal rights, WE lose, because WE should have rights above others.

And, of course, anyone who dies of a virus, it's THEIR fault.  MY job is to protect myself and my family.  So long as -I- don't die, the virus is just a minor annoyance.  More minorities have died, which just proves they're inferior to MY race.

How else can Republicans justify ending the shutdown at the height of the pandemic?  Forcing people back to work to increase the wealth of the wealthy at the cost of tens of thousands more lives?

I don't know why you are not happy.

Deaths this year are lower than the average of the previous four years. That sounds like a win to me.

So names in the list would be fewer than could reasonably be expected. That's good, isn't it?

There are two outlying ranges of both liberals and conservatives, Democrats and Republicans. The NY Times is the liberal, Trump the conservative. Both are treading thin ice with mainstream American voters who are fed up with fringe elements and arrogant people in both liberal and conservative camps.

These are the sort of facts that must be remembered fellow liberals, and you WILL take back democracy and the country, to some semblence of sanity in November....MASA...
