Absolutely! in the eastern block, the communist governments didn't want their citizens to travel to the west because they could se how well we live and then be influenced ad in opposition of communism. In Cuba it could be the opposite, freedom loving americans could travel to Cuba and influence the cuban people. i would say that's a rather great weapon against the government.
We must also look at the security of the american citizens, if the cuban government threatens or harm the travelers in any way the US government must have this travel ban for security reasons only.

Considering Americans can fly to Communist China and Vietnam, it makes no sense why we are not allowing travel between Cuba and the US. How long ago was the Cuban Missile Crisis? 50 years ago. How long ago was it when we fought China in the Korean War? 60 years ago. How long was it when we fought Japan in World War II? 65 years ago. We can fly to Japan, China even Russia but not Cuba?
Oh well, instead lets just have the US Build a secret prison on Cuba.

obama has lifted the ban, if you meet the requirements you can travel to cuba. you can also travel to cuba if you know how everyone else does it as well.

yes! as a matter fact. i'm glad i'm a dualcitizen. i carry both US and Mexican citizenship. I had to go to cuba with a mexican passport. i can't use my american passport. I'm glad Mexico and Cuba have good diplomatic relations.
