Question:
Why do liberals support changing the colour of white characters to black, yet they moan about "whitewashing"?

Yesterday, we found out that the role of Hermione in the Cursed Child is being played by a black actress, despite her being canonically white both in the books and in the films (in Prisoner of Azkaban, Hermione was referred to having a white face). All the liberals are cheering and calling everyone who disagrees a "racist". As if it's racist for us conservatives to support canon facts. We don't care if other characters are black, hell the future Minister for Magic Kingsley Shacklebolt is black and no one questions it. I was even called

Yet, when Rue in Hunger games was made white, despite being canonically black, each poor white liberal started moaning (for good reason, if they maintained the same continuity for Hermione).

Why are liberals so hypocritical? Why do they hate white people? Why do they hate canon?

In theory you are correct, but in practice I think you are missing the point. The reason the whitewashing a black character is a problem, is usually because an important part of that character stems from their race. It is the idea that you would select a white actor over a black actor to play a role that is explicitly from a racial perspective.

The character of Hermione is one of an explicit racial background. She is a muggle, and clearly Harry Potter is an allegory for racism and bigotry. As such, having a black actress that character is not problematic, because Hermione's identity is not about her being white or black, but being half human and half wizard.

I've never once seen you complain that one of the most famous non-white characters in science fiction history was made into a blonde, blue-eyed white boy in Starship Troopers.

Why don't you support "canon" at any point in time, except when it follows your white supremacist agenda?

A lot of old novels are racist, written by racists, for racists.

You don't support them because they're canon, you support them because of your agenda.

By the way, you're not being original when you parrot the stock insults of the people you get your ideas from. Calling Twitter a "hive mind" doesn't make you a free thinker, it just makes you someone who is unoriginal in insulting people who disagree with you.

What does any of this matter if, as many conservatives claim to believe, the free market will decide the winners and losers? In this case the free market would express itself through box office receipts, rendering both yours and liberal whinings moot!

Increasing diversity = good

Decreasing diversity = not so good

I personally don't care all that much about changing canonical characters, but the logic shouldn't be *that* hard for you to grasp.
