Republicans tried to release the restrictions on drilling, and democrats debated Mylar balloons.



Cap and Trade is an energy tax, and will only drive up the cost of heat and energy. This will be felt mostly by lower and middle class.



Electric cars are not cost efficient, and will still require coal burning energy plants to recharge.



Solar cars are still decades away before the technology will be available at an affordable cost.



Alternative fuels... LMAO! Do you know Kennedy shut down the Massachusetts wind farm because it ruined his view from the cape? And the Sierra club shut down the desert solar project in California because some lizard would be affected? And, if you combined all the alternative electric sources it would provide a fraction of what is needed in a single state?



Here's the truth, sheeple, the special ed clubs of the left have stopped all the alternative energy sources from being installed and put online, even when private business tried to do it. So, the very people that are complaining about it not getting done are keeping it from getting done. The party of "DUH" is your party, and you seem to be quoting the party line... "Duhhhh".

actually, if we were to fully tap all the oil reserves under US soil, we would be able to be more oil independent that ANY democrat idea will make us any time soon.



Electric cars - it still harms the environment, it just moves the emissions from your tail pipe to the power plant that is probably burning coal or natural gas (which is another fossil fuel)



cap n trade - does nothing to reduce our oil dependency, it merely charges people for manufacturing goods, and charging up their electric cars.



solar - the LEFTIES are fighting a solar array being build in the southwest to save the desert animals...look it up



alt fuel - Do you think ruining the soil and produce industry by having everyone buy corn fuel will really make us oil independent?

electric cars,lol,while over 70% of our power is from coal generated power plants.cap and trade.why would you sell carbon credits so people could pollute more if it is a crisis.i'm all for alternate energy.our own.we have endless fields of natural gas.

I think republicans generally think that there is enough oil in the US for us to drill.



Unfortunately according to the USGS we only have 2% of the worlds oil, yet we consume 25% of what is produced. There is no way we can possibly drill enough oil here in the US to meet our own demand.

What's the deal with all the thumbs down? Look, the US consumes 20.8 Million bbl/day. We produce 7.5 million bbl/day. We would have to nearly triple our current production, and that isn't geologically feasible.



We are running out of oil faster than any other nation and this is evident in our oil production data. Why do wells keep going dry? Why can't we keep drilling in Texas? Why would we have to go out to sea to get oil?



It is because we've been so good at sucking it out of the ground that we are running out here in the US!
