Question:
Why did Deepak Chopra say "The Limbaugh effect fueled the anti-morality of the Bush years"?

I think Rush has a lot more morality than Mr. Chopra. Limbaugh has always embraced Christianity like Dr. Laura and it is reflected in his personal conduct. What has Deepak ever done to improve our political system? DITTOS RUSH!

Mr. Chopra nailed it. He teaches love, a higher good, and well-being. Mr. Limbaugh teaches anger, condescension, and hypocrisy. A drug abuser, thrice married man, and hatemonger does not represent Christian values as I know them. Fortunately, I don't have to listen to him and instead listen to Mr. Chopra who improves the quality of life for millions. The Republicans certainly can't say that. Quite the opposite.

You even comparing these two men tells me that you don't have any idea as to what you are talking about. Deepak Chopra has dedicated his life to the spiritual healing of many. And Rush... well we all know what he has dedicated his life to. And Dr. Laura? She is a sanctimonious old windbag with lipstick.

DEEPAK CHOPRA:

Deepak Chopra, MD, is one of the best known and widely respected leaders in the field of mind/body medicine in the world today. Integrating the ancient Indian science of Ayurveda with traditional Western medicine and recent discoveries in the field of quantum physics, he forged a holistic approach to healing that has had enormous popular appeal as well as widespread professional acceptance.

Chopra's accomplishments extend far beyond the halls of the medical schools of Tufts and Boston Universities, where he once taught, or the Boston Regional Medical Center where he was formerly chief of staff. He has authored over forty-two books and one hundred audio, video, and CD-ROM titles, which have been translated into thirty-five languages and have sold over twenty million copies worldwide. He is a highly sought-after workshop presenter and inspirational speaker, and has achieved nearly guru status with many of his admirers. In 1995, he established The Chopra Center for Well Being in California, and is among the founding directors of the Alliance for the New Humanity. Chopra is the recipient of the Einstein Award through Albert Einstein College of Medicine in collaboration with the American Journal of Psychotherapy.

Time magazine hailed Chopra one of the top one hundred heroes and icons of the twentieth century, and credits him as “the poet-prophet of alternative medicine.”

I suspect you dont know a thing about Deepok Chopra. Mr. Chopra is not a drug addicted fool, like Rush Limbaugh. If you actually believe that Mr. Limbaugh is a reflection of chrisitanity, I have serious concerns about christianity.

If the first Christian I ever seen was cold sweating from pills, over weight, and running his mouth about America's drug problem I'd have a pretty bad view on Christianity.
