Question:
Why doesn't anybody understand that jobs are created by the person who hangs out a "Help Wanted" sign?

Jobs are created by the person who

1. Hangs out a "Help Wanted" sign HERE (not in China), and they mean it.
2. Hires a qualified applicant (not an Affirmative Action token hire)
3. Pays wages to the person who was hired

Why don't people understand that hurting that person hurts job creation?

Why don't people understand that giving that person an incentive to hang out a "Help Wanted" sign in China does not create jobs here?

Why don't people understand that both parties are equally guilty of creating an environment that tends to reduce job creation here?

Why don't people understand that the person who takes a bribe from wealthy corporatists is just as guilty as the wealthy corporatist?

We can't leave consumer demand out of the equation either.

So there we are, at an impase. Where will we find the consumers, if the consumers don't have jobs and the money to consume? Opinions vary on the eternal, economic chicken or egg scenario.
Really?

The imbalance is the problem

Americans are well aware

Job creators is a political Frank Luntz term being used by the Tea Party

When you hear it on Fox or this forum it is just Propaganda

It was very public a couple months ago. Except maybe Fox because they implemented the for dummies wording.

It was funny watching all the Fox viewer questions here after Fox implemented it!

It is important to understand the propaganda Language, but funny to watch the sheep repeat it!

Help wanted signs do not get posted in the absence of demand. Companies do not hire unless they feel there is a need for their goods and services.

And if people do not have money, they cannot buy goods and services. So putting them out on the streets after they lose their job, and cutting off unemployment insurance (if they even quality) will not result in demand.

Isn't that strange...I always thought jobs were created by customers who demand products and services. Then somebody responds to that demand by supplying those products and services. Now after all of these years, I find out that jobs aren't created by supply and demand; rather, they are created by government policy that funds infrastructure to support the supply side by taxing the demand side.

By virtue of the fact that we have supported this apparent truth for over three decades, we should be absolutely awash in jobs. But for some reason-which nobody can seem to figure out-demand has dropped off.

Hmm. Hmmm. Hmmm. Say...why don't you just apply your obviously powerful intellect to this ghostly economic conundrum? This odd fiscal paradox. This obtuse business irony.

Yes, but he's not going to hang up that sign unless the demand for his product warrants expanding, and that demand is unlikely to go up if the middle class consumers do not have enough disposable or marginal income to afford his product.

you have to know that if you want jobs created in the US than you have to make the people more productive

that means make sure they have a great education

you should not punish corporation for trying to make more money that way, that wont do anything but we need to make a better infrastructure to make a better workforce in the USA

If people aren't buying then it doesn't matter how many help wanted signs are out.

But if the job creator made irresponsible decisions which affected the customers, shouldn't the job creator be penalized instead of bailed out?

Yes, it's obvious that businesses base their hiring decisions on the personal tax status of their executives. It's just common sense.

That is dum, only Obama can make jobs. Just look at the millions, he has saved or made. With out him, the world would be in worser shape.

It is not his fault that I am to lazy to work, and would rather kill someone for their air Jordan's.

As long as Obama is in Office it will be slow hiring!
