Question:
Why do people keep repeating the lie that George Floyd was murdered?
2020-06-07 21:45:04 UTC
The narrative that he was choked to death has been proven wrong by the official autopsy. The medical examiner said he did not die from asphyxiation. Apparently, a lot of people don't know what that word means. Google it if you are confused by what I'm saying.

Yes, the officer's restraint MAY have contributed to Floyd's death just as other factors did such as the drugs in his system and the fact that he had the coronavirus.

Murder requires intent and there is absolutely no evidence the officer intended to kill George Floyd.

I guarantee, regardless of what the officers may be charged with, none of them will be convicted of anything worse than manslaughter

Probably our own eyes seeing him murdered. Do you need to have reality provided for you? Sad.

Got a cop on trial for murder. I think you need to treat your denial. Goerge Floyd's death was determined a homicide (i.e. he died as a result of the actions of another person). Not the court will determine whether it was murder.

Not worth answering.

Why do you write questions that are based on falsehood thus a lie

If your love ones are in drugs and someone pressed on their neck causing them hard to breathe and died. Will you be like "oh well that was just one factor it's not murder"

Or if your kids are born with some kind of disease, like a weak heart, and someone beat them causing them in hospital, will you be like "oh they have a weak heart to begin with?"

Stop being so ignorant.

An autopsy which has been disputed by an independent coroner and as this police department took 4 days to even take Chauvin into custody, I don't think we can be sure that the corruption in that department has not spread to the medical coroner.

The police officer who has been charged with murder has 18 previous complaints against him, two which resulted in disciplinary action.  Now we all know that members of the public make false allegations against the police, but good grief 18 of them.

One of the other officers charged also has a worrying record.

Why not wait for the trial before you make up your mind, when we find out all the facts.

An independent autopsy found death by asphyxiation .  In any case, Floyd had become motionless and still,  Officer Chauvin didn't release the hold on his neck.

The arresting officer has responsibility for the detainee's welfare once he's in restraints.   Responsibility … Apparently, you don't know what the word means.  Google it if you are confused.

The autopsy done by 2 doctors ruled the death a homicide.

There were 2 autopsies done. Both of them determined the manner of death as homicide. The ME ruled the cause of death as cardiac arrest due to restraint and neck compression. The private autopsy ruled the cause of death to be traumatic asphyxiation. They also found bruises that are consistent with forceable restraint.

There was clearly intent to kill, even though the charge of 2nd degree murder doesn’t require it in this case. Chauvin was charged with felony murder. That means that a person was killed during the commission of a felony. Chauvin committed assault, and Floyd died as a result. That is felony murder, intent not required.

If a person is handcuffed, held down by his neck, and pleading that he can’t breathe, what would you call his resulting death? Chauvin was told many times that Floyd was in distress, both by Floyd and the people watching. That’s like holding a person under water till they drown and then claiming you had no intention of killing them. Chauvin did something that any reasonable person would know can lead to death. He had no valid reason for restraining him, therefore any claims that Floyd’s death was an accident are BS. He clearly intended to harm George Floyd, and he died as a result. When Floyd said he couldn’t breathe, chauvin actually pressed harder. Floyd was calling out for his mama. When a grown man begs for his mama, something is seriously wrong! People in the crowd were begging chauvin to stop and saying that he’s killing him. People were yelling at chauvin that Floyd was unconscious and bleeding. He still didn’t stop. For several minutes, the crowd was screaming at him and telling him Floyd was unconscious and possibly dead. He continued to kneel on him and talk smack. Chauvin showed blatant disregard for human life. Of all the officer involved deaths I’ve ever heard of, this is the most clear case of murder I’ve ever seen.

Anyone who thinks George Floyd’s death was justified, accidental or somehow not intentional probably hasn’t seen the full video. Floyd was clearly not resisting arrest or posing a threat to anyone, so any use of force was wrong. Chauvin was absolutely aware that Floyd was hurting, having trouble breathing, then unconscious. People were screaming for someone to check his pulse, and nobody did. When chauvin realized Floyd was unconscious, he still didn’t stop. He still had his knee held on Floyd’s neck while the ambulance arrived, an EMT checked his pulse, and brought a stretcher. He didn’t get off him until the EMT had the stretcher next to him. He then forcefully yanked him off the ground and flipped him onto the stretcher.

Even if other factors contributed to his death, chauvin was fully aware that Floyd was dying from his restraint, yet he still continued. Chauvin showed zero concern for Floyd’s life. He continued his hold after the ambulance arrived, meaning he knew he was causing serious harm and kept doing it anyway. This is one of the most disturbing things I’ve ever seen. The video makes it very clear that chauvin intended to kill Floyd and the other officers made sure nobody could stop him. Chauvin is clearly a murderer, and the other cops knew exactly what he was doing and stood guard so nobody could stop it or help Floyd.

To anyone who has seen the full video and still thinks those cops aren’t guilty of murder: what if this happened to someone you love? Wouldn’t you want the cops to care if he lives or dies? They knew he was dying, they showed no concern, and didn’t stop killing him, even when the EMT was trying to help him. Anyone who sides with the cops in this case is a heartless person with no value for human life. This was not accidental, justified, or unclear. This is the most obvious case of police brutality and murder I’ve ever seen.

The ME's report included the word "homicide".  Google it if you are confused by what I am saying.

The (first) autopsy said they found no physical evidence of asphyxiation. That's because Chauvin's knee cut off his air supply. If he used his hands or a ligature it would have left physical evidence of asphyxiation.

Well, the Medical Examiner's conclusions are debated. Michael M. Baden was hired to do a second autopsy and concluded it was asphyxiation. He is a well-known forensic pathologist. Baden was the chief medical examiner of the City of New York from 1978 to 1979. The issue is whether it is 2nd degree or 3rd degree murder in Minnesota. Up to 40 years, or 25 years maximum sentences. But, the protests are much more than the single George Floyd case. There are convictions without intent in Minnesota of 3rd and 2nd degree. People keep forgetting that local jurisdiction law applies.

3rd degree is depraved indifference and not intentional murder.

He was murdered by Chinese Communists. With both Chinese Communists Virus and Chinese Communist drug Fentanyl in his system. He was murdered by Chinese Communists. I don't know why people deny this fact.
I'm blunt, get over it

well, you are incorrect a lot in here. 1 manslaughter is not a charge in ever state. In many they simply have different levels. in Minnesota they were initially charged with MURDER 3. which is essentially depraved indifference resulting in death.. Which is pretty much exactly what the video shows.

Just like I shoot you and you die from cardiac arrest.

Why is there a murder charge against the shooter?🤔
