90% of the American media is controlled by only 6 corporations. Care to guess who those corporations back politically? Let's look at one example. In 2008, General Electric controlled all of the media outlets listed below. They backed Obama for president. After taking office, Obama and the Democrats passed a string of green energy subsidies that allowed General Electric to avoid paying income tax in 2010, and the CEO of General Electric was put in charge of Obama's committee on Job Creation (where he immediately outsourced over 25,000 jobs to China).
We have a free press, but the "mainstream" media is largely a monopoly, and it is almost exclusively the propaganda wing of the Democratic party. Over 90% of US journalists contribute to the Democratic party. Several of them were caught in direct collusion with the Clinton campaign to sway the outcome of the 2016 election.
