Well comrade, the job of the media is to shape and change public opinion to what it should be. Those that criticize the media think that the media should be in it's purest form, "report the facts and let you decide."

90% of the American media is controlled by only 6 corporations. Care to guess who those corporations back politically? Let's look at one example. In 2008, General Electric controlled all of the media outlets listed below. They backed Obama for president. After taking office, Obama and the Democrats passed a string of green energy subsidies that allowed General Electric to avoid paying income tax in 2010, and the CEO of General Electric was put in charge of Obama's committee on Job Creation (where he immediately outsourced over 25,000 jobs to China).

We have a free press, but the "mainstream" media is largely a monopoly, and it is almost exclusively the propaganda wing of the Democratic party. Over 90% of US journalists contribute to the Democratic party. Several of them were caught in direct collusion with the Clinton campaign to sway the outcome of the 2016 election.

Here is a list of media outlets owned by General Electric in 2008:

Many bad people criticize the media because they notice the 'media' no longer employs EDITORS to check the accuracy of a 'story.' It used to be: An 'editor' would check a story for accuracy before airing or printing the story. And if a 'reporter' did not learn, that they would be CHECKED, he/she would be fired.

You mean the Fake media.... Don't you. I like the media but not the FAKE one. Its the pronoun that is the insult here.

The same reason that good people criticize the media. It is corrupt, controlled by corporations, and is agenda-driven and not fact-driven
