Sadly I won't be around to see what history says. He himself hung his legacy on Iraq. Using that basis, the first U.S. President to invade another sovereign nation without declaring war, causing the death of thousands and ruining the image of America in the eyes of many in the world while exploding the national and trade deficits. Being the most secretive administration in American history and of course the infamous passing of the Patriot Act.

He has exercised the power of the Executive Office like no other president since Nixon, but at least Nixon kept it pretty much to the Executive Branch. Bush subverted Separation of Powers and unbalanced our system of Checks and Balances, particularly between the Executive and the Judicial Branches. And the Legislative Branch just let him. It's a sad legacy indeed!

First President in history to keep his word about what

he was going to do and not back down to the opposing

parties ideals.

As for death, while it is true that we have lost approximately

3600 US Soldiers in this war, this number is significantly

lower than any of our past wars; Vietnam, as an example

the US lost close to 56,000 soldiers over a 16 year period,

do the math, this equals an average of 3,500 US soldiers

per year, the Iraq war has averaged 720 per year.

Debt: Do you think that fighting a war is FREE? it costs

money to fight a war

Dishonor, how? by protecting your lazy butt and giving you

the freedom to ask these stupid questions. If you truly

want dishonor look at Clinton's dealings.

1st President to ever face a civil lawsuit while in office

1st President to be disbarred by a state (Arkansas)

1st President to resign from the U.S. Supreme Court

rather than face disbarment.

2nd President ever impeached

This man, Clinton, was filled with provable dishonor not

speculative dishonor.

Note to Princess: The Vietnam conflict lasted 16 years,

like the Geico Caveman says "Next time do a little research"

EDIT: Note to "Right you are Ken"

Sorry you are wrong, we did not declare war on Vietnam

nor did we declare war on Korea, as a matter of fact there

were 234 instances of conflicts with the US Military and

there were only 5 Declared wars. Check for your self and

I refer you to the Geico Caveman as well

http://www.history.navy.mil/wars/foabroad.htm

As for the Patriot act, the President only signs into law

what Congress gets approved, or Veto's bills that make

no sense so blame your Congress for passage of the

Patriot act, you can not blame Bush

EDIT: I love it!! you liberals can not stand true facts

and as soon as anyone posts a negative, truthful,

comment you come in with your thumbs down AS IF,

that will some how change the truth. ROFLMAO

Treasonous puppet dictator! In the top three worst presidents ever. Polarized America thus reinforcing the illusion that voters only have two choices: the left and the right. Used terrorism and terrorism to control the population.

Every time a comedian makes a Bush joke, they inevitably refer to his stupidity. Stupidity will be the Bush legacy. Dumbest man ever to hold the office of president.

Putting on 2 originalist judges on the Supreme Court. Finally, we have some sense left.

He has also damaged the party badly with his big government, big spending ways. He has done massive damage with this immigration disaster.

The best thing he will do for conservatives is make us find another to win in 2008 with.

Nobody knows yet. Presidents beloved in their own time are despised now, and presidents despised in their own time are beloved now. You need historical perspective and you clearly don't have it. You're too consumed by your political agenda to take an objective look at your own question. I say this as a person who did not vote for Bush in 2004.
