Why does the Western media make Putin out to be a terrible leader when he has done a lot of great things for Russian and one that does great things can not be considered terrible? this isn't the leader of North Korea mind you but he is put in that category.. Why so? be honest!

American officials and media demonize him because they dont understand his viewpoint. The U.S. thinks of every other country is subservient to American interests. Russia thinks of itself as a great world power. Therein lies the problem.

There is no reason to hate Putin. What happened in Crimea has nothing to do with the U.S. And there was no combat involved. He helped the U.S. with its operations in his region. His goal is to keep law and order on his border, especially now with Ukraine since the U.S. has funded a conflict in Ukraine to get the Russian influence out.

You should hate the CIA, the State Dept because they gin up wars in the middle east. Why would you feel antagonistic toward Pres Putin. Yes, he brought Russia more prosperity. The Europeans are seeing their dumb move to copy America in sanction his economy is backfiring. There was never a reason to sanction him. He does what is in his country's interest WITHOUT STARTING WARS and spending trillions of tax money.

Russia invaded Afghanistan 30 years ago. For anyone who comments about him in the KGB remember that Bush Sr was a director of the world's most effective terrorist organization, the CIA.

Our media, and government, is asinine. We care little about justice and the facts. Remember that whole MH-17 plan being shot down and Obama immediately blamed the Eastern Ukraine rebels? Yeah, the Ukrainian government looks good for that incident instead.

Russia is countering the West's aggression. We helped overthrow the pro-Russion regime in Ukraine. We laid out sanctions on Russia. The moves of Russia are intelligent counters. The BRICS nations, as well as others, are trying to getting away from the hold of the US dollar. And they are off to a good start.

Tell that to the East Germans that suffered while he was a KGB agent. Putin is a gangster that would have rolled the Russian army over Ukraine and Georgia if it wasn't in such disrepair. Extend the research project.

You are absolutely right. Putin has done much for the people of Russia. That is why it is very popular in Russia. Americans who have never been to Russia and sudt only by the media - not Navid Putin.

the tensions are high between Russia and the west and have been for over 50 years both sides do things to keep the tension there too such as american economic sanctions or russian nuclear bombers flying armed just off the coast of Alaska , or each country siding with the enemy of the other just to be on opposite sides , so you can choose a side if you want but I am of the opinion that all the governments involved should be put in an arena (hunger games style) and fight it out them selves instead of wasting innocent civilian lives for their warring ways

That's why Putin has an 83% approval rating by the Russian people.

Because we were trained to see FDR in the same light, as a living god, but after researching his policies' effects on the economy... it became obvious that HE was the goon who inflicted the Depression on the nation and that in seeking reelection for life, he was no better than any tinpot dictator.

Liking Putin is comparable to liking the quarterback for the other team.

Unfortunately the US has one that would be compared to Ryan Leaf

Because he passed a law banning homosexuality from being taught to school children, so according to liberals, he's Adolf Hitler.

The only thing I don't understand about is how on earth did he make billions when his salary all these years was so low.

because he stands up to the neo con zionist agenda

"democracies" are countries that tow the US line

and "dictators" like putin are those who take an independent line, notice how he suddenly became the new hitler in US media
