Question:
Why do we STILL allow conservatives to profile?
2010-10-23 18:29:45 UTC
I came across this news article just the other day:
http://www.azcentral.com/news/articles/2010/10/13/20101013arizona-palo-verde-power-plant-suspicious-package-abrk.html

Apparently, an employee at a nuclear plant was profiling packages and called the police because he found one that he/she thought was suspicious! What makes this particular package suspicious? What is brown? Black? Did the person profiling think it looked like the shape of a bomb?! Keep in mind, this is ARIZONA, the same state that wants to be able to stop people for identification if they look suspiciously like an illegal immigrant!

When will conservatives STOP VIOLATING the rights of illegal immigrants AND suspicious packages? I hope the voters remember this come November!

The Conservatives are the only ones who know how to profile and keep the Criminals under control.

If you running security for a nuclear generating station you had better be suspicious of everything. and YES it did look like a pyrotechnic device of some kind, and that is strictly forbidden on the site. If the security officer had NOT done that he would have been terminated for cause. It could well have been a NRC security test also. I had to wait for two hours to get into PV NGS on 9/11/01 No vehicles were allowed into the parking lot until they had been thoroughly searched. That even included company vehicles. If an employee had left his badge at home that day, he didn't get to go to work. sheesh I shouldn't even post on such ridiculous nonsense.

update

It was a smoke bomb strictly forbidden anywhere on the site. If it had made it passed security, it would have been a reportable incident and a large fine. If not reported and later found out it would be a licensing violation and a down grade for the plant

OK. Seriously. You think a "package" has rights? Give me a break. Are you SO desperate to find a reason to fault conservatives that you have to invent a right for a package?

Something that looks like a stick of dynamite with a fuse sticking out of it? It says that is what it looked like. Now, are you REALLY so dim as to think that THAT doesn't constitute a suspicious package?

Now, I do think there are a lot of times that something that looks suspicious to some people would not look suspicious to 99 percent of the rest of the world, but I think you would be in the 1 percent who would think that this thing was not suspicious. Even people who watch the Roadrunner know that a stick with a fuse coming out of it is not something you want to mess with.

Profile? I guess you had to go to your PC dictionary to look that one up. So. If someone hands to a cylindrical object with a fuse sticking out of it, then lights it, are you going to not profile and just wait and see if it blows up or not while you are holding it?

There will be an Internet Messiah...a great leader who arises before this November 2nd election. He/she shall remind the Democrats of who almost got the U.S. destroyed by Muslim extremists.

And remind everyone that Bush's Axis of Evil would have resulted in thousands more trooping dieing in Iran/ Syria/ North Korea & the other areas he identified.

Yes Republicans, continue to be fearmongers! Because as Jesus as my Savior, your hate & disgusting tactics will be 100% denied on Nov 2nd.

America will reject your movement. And the World will breathe a deep sigh of relief.

Illegal aliens have NO rights. THEY ARE ILLEGAL. DO YOU KNOW WHAT ILLEGAL MEANS? IF NOT GOOGLE IT. IS THAT TO HARD FOR YOU TO UNDERSTAND?

Aren't you profiling that the person who started all this is a conservative???!!! The employee did the right thing. They found a package with a fuse in it. The owner of the car didn't know it was there. THis is a sensative area, and it is normal.

Perhaps it would be a good idea if you actually read and tried to understand the Arizona law before you spout off about it. Who knows you might even learn something. Profiling indeed. You have a good day now

Arizona will have to crash hard before the message gets across - on a side note, all of California's Republicans need to move there.
