In Vegas, the drunks gamble with their own money.

Have you got any good ones to share? Even if it is a funny name for someone...

What happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.

What happens in Washington, DC, goes everywhere in the world.

Sorry, not so funny.

--Politicians are like diapers; they should be changed often and for the same reasons.

--A Senator and a Representative jump off a cliff. Who hits the ground first? Who cares?

--Alternate: Two politicians jump off a building. Who wins? Society.

--Hillary Clinton recently had a bumper sticker produced with the words "Run, Hillary, run!" Democrats wear it on the back bumpers and Republicans wear it on their front bumpers.

--Don't steal. Government hates the competition.

--Hillary Clinton recently had a stamp made of her image, in honor of her successful political career. However, they never stuck to the envelope. So, an FBI task force was created to find out the reason, and they found discovered why the stamps wouldn't stick. People were spitting on the wrong side.

--Thank you very much! I'm here 'til Thursday!

We shoot craps in both.

Prostitution is legal in Vegas or seems like it on the news

"Politics is supposed to be the second-oldest profession. I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first."

- Ronald Reagan (R)

Orgies happen in both

Political campaigns are designedly made into emotional orgies which endeavor to distract attention from the real issues involved, and they actually paralyze what slight powers of cerebration man can normally muster. ~James Harvey Robinson,

Corruption

The only difference between the Democrats and the Republicans is that the Democrats allow the poor to be corrupt, too. ~Oscar Levant

Instead of giving a politician the keys to the city, it might be better to change the locks. ~Doug Larson

Money is king and makes the guys in charge do most anything for it

Midas, they say, possessed the art of old

Of turning whatsoe'er he touch'd to gold;

This modern statesmen can reverse with ease -

Touch them with gold, they'll turn to what you please.

~John Wolcot

As nightfall does not come at once, neither does oppression. In both instances there is a twilight when everything remains seemingly unchanged. And it is in such twilight that we all must be most aware of change in the air - however slight - lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness.

- William O. Douglas, judge (1898-1980)

All political parties die at last of swallowing their own lies.

"Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a law breaker, it breeds contempt for the law, it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy."

Fact: The government took over a whorehouse called the 'Mustang Ranch' in Vegas that had tax problems in an attempt to save it for prosperity and failed to make enough money to pay the bill.

Now, I ask you, how hard could it be to make money with a cat house in a place where it is legal?

I may be wrong in my assumption but I believe they may have ate up their profits!

To the guy talking about the prostitution thing...

I live in Vegas, and I support the measure for legalizing it. I mean people are going to do it regardless, and we're just wasting tax payers money trying to fight it....

Plus its a welcome 200 more million dollars to our already large budget....

I love living in Vegas, we have our act together. Our Local Government actually knows how to balance its budget, and expand our city. Even our Police Department (LVMPD) is competent regarding economics, it makes a profit, and balances its own budget very well...

The entire vehicle fleet is pretty much new, and they are constantly upgrading and building new buildings and stuff, and they come out with new Police Motors like every year it seems...

Vegas is replete with unions, whereas the DC politicians don't allow unions, since they know that unions cause many problems in the "stream of democracy" they are creating.

But the quesiton was reported for violating community guidelines.

In Washington, if you fock up the first 4 years, (of money and country), your papa, and brother, and a few other ignorant Republicans can get you back into office for a second term with no questions asked. In Vegas, if you fock up money and property, cameras and guards will make sure that you never get a chance to fock up there again, and your butt will be sitting in prison crying and singing: 'You gotta know when to hold em, know when to fold em, know when to walk away, know when to run. '

In Vegas if you lose all your money on bad bets there is no bail out.
