Why are Republicans so critical of Obama withdrawing troops from Iraq, when it was Bush's plan to begin with?

Also, remember how they were criticizing President Hussein for not having a strategy or exit plan for Libya...yet just a few years ago they were condemning liberals for wanting an exit plan for Iraq because it would "embolden the terrorists"...

And our withdrawal has meant a Peace and Joy time for Iraq? Our withdrawal was suppose to be contingent with Iraq's long term prosperity/stability. The Bush deadline was not a hard/fast one. Libya served no purpose. Than to destabilize another nation. Meant as a warning to Iran and Syria. All it did was firm their resolve to resist. Also made our "friends" notice how we treat governments trying to be at peace with us.



It has emboldened the terrorist. Also the natural resistance of any people who wish not to be occupied by a foreign power. Nor be ruled by a government chosen by foreigners. Like Iran's people's resisted the British re-imposed Shah.



Which is why we Allies shortened our De-Nazification and Occupation of Germany. A renewed and growing resistance. Not related to renewing Nazism and the war. A better method we tried in Iraq. Yet, Obama snuffed it out. Now? we have a good chance Iraq will re-inflame as a torn nation. One we are to blame for tearing apart. Then, thanks Obama, leaving simply thumb tacked together. Without a government truly freely elected and a renewed economy. Which we did for Germany.

Agreed, and the ensuing chaos was unavoidable, no matter how long U.S. troops remained in the country. Besides, it was Bush who chose to invade Iraq in the first place. This is his responsibility.



I supported the intervention in Libya, but not the Iraq War.
