Question:
Do you support net neutrality? That all data is treated equally?

Net neutrality basically ensures that every byte, bit and nibble of binary data is treated equally when being transferred from the server to your computer via your internet service provider (ISP). Recently there have been a lot of companies who want provide a "fast lane" that users can use whenever a user requires a faster download rate which they can pay extra for, the only downside to this is that it throws net neutrality out the window and gives the ISP's power over how they control the data flow.
The promise of a fast lane might sound great but in fact it isn't, because the "fast lane" is actually the same internet speed that you would have gotten before the removal of net neutrality, while the "regular lane" is just the same lane that has been squeezed to slow down and restrict the speed of data download.
The other problem with the removal of net neutrality is that it gives ISPs absolute power over internet speeds. Your ISP may also provide services like cable tv and mobile phone services, things which are quickly being replaced by streaming services such as Hulu and Netflix and Instant messaging services like Facebook. If net neutrality is removed then you shouldn't be surprised when sites as mentioned above load a lot slower than they normally would. This requires the users and/or the service provider to pay a fee to the ISP to return the download rate to what it previously was, which will be harmful to providers and users alike.

So, do you support net neutrality?

Absolutely. The people who are in a panic because they think it means the government is going to take away the internet do not understand the implications of AOL, TimeWarner, Yahoo, et.al., being able to slow the sites down that you like because they wouldn't pay them enough bribery.

it's just a bunch of bits and bytes --- 00's and 11's there's no value on the data - it should be free. it's not like we are getting natural gas pumped to our homes and businesses.

you really believe there's that much congestion with numbers that move at the speed of light?

what i support is higher programming standards that don't f up the system. there should be no congestions.

all this security that has to check stuff clogs up stuff to.. much of it is a scam to make money.

Honestly the only plus side to losing it is in the next 5 years Comcast will be dead a long with all the other companies that try to add caps and try to make you pay double to use the speed you already are paying for...

The fact is it cost them very little to almost nothing to have the data run at full speed with unlimited data. With Google fiber not fallowing the big IP's and T-mobile doing the same for phone data there is no way these companies will last long. Very soon you are going to see the death of Comcast caused by Comcast themselves.
