Shouldn't Trump focus on stopping homegrown terrorists instead?

I looked up that all attacks since 9/11 were from homegrown terrorists.

Plus of course none of the citizens from the countries on his ban list took part in the 9/11 attack, while those countries who's citizens did carry out 9/11 are not on the list. He is just trying to appear he is doing something, rather than actually doing so, which is easy.

You only have to look across the Atlantic to Brussels, Paris and London to see where the greatest terrorist threat lies. In both Brussels and Paris the major terrorist attacks were carried out by Belgian and French born citizens from the North African immigrant communities. In London the 7/7 attack on the transport system was carried out by British born citizens from the Pakistani immigrant community. Britain has been kept free of a major attack for the eleven years since 7/7, not by excluding the nationals of whole countries but by gathering and sharing intelligence amongst the counter-terrorism forces drawing on lessons learned from 7/7. With some of that intelligence provided by members of the immigrant communities who haven't been alienated by any rhetoric from Britain's leaders.



Even in the US nearly all the major terrorist attacks since 9/11 have been carried out by American born citizens or by green card holders who became radicalized after being in the country for some time. The most notable exception was the female San Bernadino shooter who came to the US from Pakistan on a spousal visa. Yet Pakistan hasn't been added to the 'ban list'.
