Question:
Why is there so much sweat on Bush's face when he speaks now about the economy?

there is even sweat in the area above his upper lip...which is a sign of a very worried person.

Normally, we are used to seeing a very confident Bush, who tells us that all is well and that all the policies and laws he has helped bring about will make our economy strong, balance the budget and trickle down prosperity on all americans.

For the past year all the lies and deceptions of Bush and company have slowly come unraveled for them.

This is just another in a long series of backtracking and excuses that you'll see from them for the next 11 months.

They'll blame everyone but themselves for the terrible mess they have gotten the country into, including the next administration.

I also suspect that Bush is a little more then upset of what his outlook looks like post presidency. Possible life behind bars, to being viewed by even his more ardent supporters as nothing more then fly $hit.

I'd be sweating too if I were him.

Obviously, he's worried about the economy, and with reason.

He can't do much about it. Despite much posturing and ranting from politicians, one fact stands out -

Governments don't run economies. Economies run Governments.

It follows that neither Bush, nor whoever follows him in the hot seat, can do a lot to help. The economy is too big, too powerful and too self-willed to steer. It went mouldy under its own steam: sooner or later it will recover the same way, and whoever is in charge at the time will grab the credit for being an economic genius. Which will be exactly as fair as calling Bush an economic dumbo.

Well now that he's finally woken up from the stupor he's been in the last 7 years and sees how bad he effed up the economy it's not really that hard to figure out

I was hot. He isn't worried, he has his money. He is on the way out and doesn't care. Me I'm worried, he has made a mess of this country. A rich oil man that wants more. I have trouble paying my bills monthly.
