Question:
Is David Cameron already so out of touch, that he needs a National Consultation On British Well Being?
2010-11-25 03:49:07 UTC
…. to help him work it out?

Is he that out of touch or is he just dumb? Will he use it as another tool to shove it down our throats how happy we are as we suffer under his cuts?

If he wants to guage the mood of the nation, he should open his window. If the wind is blowing in the right direction, he will be able to hear the sound of protestors clashing with the police.

That's the mood of the nation, Dave - divided and angry. I've just saved him £2 million which he can now spend on health and education like he should have in the first place.

Dont you think it's a silly question to ask the nation? How happy are you on a scale of one to ten? I would be more inclined to answer the question "How miserable are you on a scale from one to ten?" If ten were the most miserable of all, I would score 20 right now. The only people who have any feeling of happiness today are those who are benefiting from Camerons policies. The MP's, the Lords, the super rich, the rich, landlords, and not forgetting a few brainwashed die hard Tory supporters who still believe Cameron is doing a good job.

I see that the Daily Express have launched a campaign to get Britain out of the EU. Cloud cuckoo land again by the right wing Tory propaganda machine. Meanwhile, back here on earth, the Daily Mirror reports that a Union chief is calling for more demos like the NUS demos to topple the government in 6 months. I know which campaign I would rather follow. Something about dealing with the cr*p in your own back yard first comes to mind.

His is no more out of touch than other MPs who, just like successful business people, behave the way they do because they can get away with it. Hair shirts don't suit them and hubris always lies in wait for those who don't believe strongly enough in what they are doing. In essence they perpetually learn the wrong lesson.

So save that £2m and put it towards paying nurses or something genuinely useful.

And instead of that crazy idea to waste money on a campaign for the Alternative Vote, why not have 25% MPs elected each year so they actually do have to reflect the will of the public at the time.

And as for student fees, it should be the other way around, the country invests in them for their contributiuon to society and the economy later in life. The UK is not a world power with an empire any more, it doesn't need 650mps to administer it, and it doesn't need to duplicate them in the European Parliament either. Government and Civil Service should be cut back to suit. Fat cat council leaders should be cut back before losing public services too. There is most defintely a disturbance in the Force and the Dark Side can no longer afford to remain cloaked.

A well contains water, in turn that can be used for putting out fires, in early July 2009 an Tory/Lib coalition (Camberwell, East London), as the result of a budget cut (merged or something) fire safety and planning, the Liberal who agreed with Tory proposal is now spending East Londoner's local taxes (has to be £2m, that can't be a coincidence) on a specialist corporate manslaughter firm to defend the (possibly criminal) Liberal as six people died @ Lakanal House (including a 3 week old baby) a Lib/Con bonding session @ No10 building a crib?

super Britain based democracy? the classic greeks have been employing it jointly as we nonetheless lived in dirt huts my buddy. And secondly Britain isn't a democracy, it extremely is a constitutional monarchy. First previous the submit is the least democractic of all vote casting systems, a real democratic device is proportinal representation. there is no longer yet another decision, no different device is democratic. We use a device that may no longer democratic so we are able to get a extra confident result, yet our result's broken if no occasion holds majority on my own, the full factor of the device is long previous. you may locate if our parliament finally ends up hung each and every election we could consistently pass to AV. and because whilst did the quantity of human beings vote casting make to slightest little bit of distinction lol? Democracy IS proportional repesentation, in case you want democracy that's the vote casting device simply by fact its honest and proportional. ALL different systems corrupt the end bring about favour of the super events funded by the better classification and company entities. First previous the submit is strictly comparable to a monarchy or dictatorship, rulers get chosen at beginning and consequently get funded. the only distinction is you SHEEP think of your unfastened below this device. If events use AV like systems this is going for use everywhere, for sure its good adequate for them yet no longer us! does not want the morons to weaken their corrupt grip on potential might we?

Not only is he out of touch he also lives on another planet with his best mate Nick Clegg ,where everyone has there own butler ,drinks vintage Champagne with luncheon and dinner and can't understand why people are unhappy with his polices when everyone in his world tell him otherwise.

I mean we are all in this together so "Bottom up old boy and enjoy your Champagne at £120 a bottle".

Well Stevie I don't often agree with you or Hal but it seems to me Cameron must be burying his head in the sand these days. I don't need to spend even £2.00 to know that people are depressed, worried and fed up maybe if he left the bunker at No.10 and went for a walk he'd know what's going on in Britain.

He should take a page from Obama's playbook and read some scripted feel-good message from a teleprompter and then hit the golf course. Although this only works on the most extreme liberals, at least having those morons in his camp is something.

6 months into a tory government and two riots on the streets of London should tell him all he needs to know about the happiness and well being of the UK population.

I dont agree with the riots - but you dont need to have a Maths degree to put 2+2 together!

It's really just distraction and propaganda. He wants to:

a) convince us that he really gives a damn about our happiness.

b) distract us from the wholesale robbery of BILLIONS of pounds committed by the Banksters.

A lot of politicians seem to be out of touch these days, thank goodness we got rid of the worst of them when the Coalition were elected. They were so out of touch that they say they didn't realise they were bankrupting the country over the past 13 years with their borrowing. At least the Coalition is getting to grips with the problem and not hiding its head in the sand like Gordon Brown and co. did.

To be fair, the use of something other than GDP to measure our wellbeing has to be a step in the right direction.
