Question:
Are those who vote entirely retrospectively missing the big picture?

There are basically two types of voting, retrospective and prospective, or "forward looking." If elections hinge completely on the retrospective vote, does that mean that the majority of Americans are missing the big picture? When I vote, I vote with a mix of prospective and retrospective ideas in mind.

Here's an example: The majority of people who were unsatisfied with Bush voted for Obama. If they become unsatisfied with Obama, will they vote for a Republican again?

It just doesn't make sense to me. Thoughts?

Yeah & many who don't vote think of an even bigger picture. That's the voting process, the structure of the Government, & whether your vote really means much of anything in the long run. So in my opinion your still thinking narrowly & don't understand what your vote can & can't do.

Working for a political candidate & gettting to know that candidate the best you can goes a lot further than just going to the poll box & casting one's 1 measly vote. Just looking on the internet to see what their political positions are doesn't tell you anything about what a candidate might do once they are in office.

I don't mind when somebody tells me they voted. It just makes me shake my head when some of them tell me what they think that means. And i'm like another person who has no prospective & is duped to thinking that their vote means more than it really does. Just like the people who think they are "free" because some people in their Country are eligible to vote lol.

First of all, they've now not overlooked similarities among more than a few occasions, eras and experiences. It is in Christ ALL come to a head. There are 456 designated attributes all fulfilled in Christ. Even the prophets in different religions have mentioned they don't seem to be the One Sent. For illustration, He is alleged to return from the royal line of David. For over one thousand years - this implies each and every unmarried descendant of David need to have had a son! ALL prophecies have been fulfilled at all of the identical time and the identical specific situation is in Christ. No founding father of some other faith is certainly major for that faith besides in Christianity. Edit: Horus is yet another. There are approximately 14 or 15 distinct previous models of 'Jesus'...all equal. Mythra additionally This isn't precise. Over protracted intervals, the solar god Horus is adorned by means of a plethora of names—each and every identify representing various features. Such names incorporate: Horus, Harmerty, Har-Si-Ese, Heru, Heru-ur, Heru-khuti, Harsiesis, Har-Wer, Osiris, Ra, Atum, Atum-Ra, Ra Herakhty, Neferhor, Nekheny, Mekhenty-er-irty, Khenty-er-irty, Har-Behedti, Ihy, Bebti, Heru-sema-tawy and so on. Again, every any such names actions from one fantasy to yet another—all supposedly the identical god, however distinct gods, with distinct tendencies. Given the ever-replacing names and tendencies of Horus, it isn't complicated to assume how you can select and decide upon anything they desire involving this solar god or some other god. According to Egyptian interpretation, this instance represents Horus because the solar god, now not the "gentle" or some thing else for that subject. To solely interpret and represent Horus because the "gentle" is to attract a parallel among Christ and Horus that simply does now not exist. Mithra of Persia: An Indo-Persian suggestion which means "Covenant, agreement, oath, treaty or pal." This suggestion was once later anthropomorphized as a deity in Zoroastrianism, Arianism, inside the Vedas, Manichaeism and the Achaemenid dynasty. There isn't any proof Mithra encouraged the Gospel writers whatever. In reality, it was once now not till the 2d century AD Mithra was once even recognized within the Roman global. The New Testament had lengthy been accomplished by means of this date.

I use a mix as well.

But, I think there are many important lessons that can be learned from history. We've been on a more progressive perspective as a nation for decades. Where has it got us? Our kids are falling as far as "intelligence" levels worldwide, we have school shootings nearly weekly, bullies are causing more kids than ever to commit suicide, more political leaders are trying to tell kids their parents are dumb, our economy is a joke, the job market is dismal, we've pushed so hard to go forward that we've went backwards.

The public has a right to change leadership if they like and the most logical change is going to the opposite party, when you're dissatisfied with the current party.

It is easier for the average American to look back, so yes. You can see this in later years of voting as the parties continually switch. However, its to the point where both parties suck.
