Is "Trump campaign adviser" an actual job title, or is it just a way for the media to make a relationship seem more important than it is?

Is every volunteer and employee a "campaign adviser", or is it a real job title? Seriously, that phrase is thrown around quite a lot. Does the phrase really mean anything?

If the official campaign literature describes a person as an 'adviser' then that is what they are. it's also on their business card.

It means that spending years as a professional money launderer for the Russian mob, means he was uniquely qualified to assit Trump in getting elected as the Kremlin's favored candidate. Ever wonder why Trump has been surrounding himself with people who have shady ties to Russia? Not like there is any kind of shady relationship between Russia and Trump. Certainly couldnt have anything to do with that.

Papadopoulos was a foreign policy adviser, which is an actual job title.
Trump mentioned him by name here: https://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-partisan/wp/2016/03/21/a-transcript-of-donald-trumps-meeting-with-the-washington-post-editorial-board/?utm_term=.f20530ce547c
Hope that helps. Just because nobody had heard of him before today doesn't mean he never existed. Sorry.

Whelp. The 38,545,397th desperate attempt by a conservative to deflect from the seriousness of Manafort/Gates indictment.
Hint: it's not working.
Edit: "Seriously, that phrase is thrown about. Does it have any real meaning?"
Now that is some weapons-grade whining. C'mon. You're a patriot. Grow a pair, fer cryin' out loud.

Your desperation is duly noted. How can you embarrass yourself like this on purpose? Amazing.
He was the campaign’s FOREIGN POLICY ADVISER.
Russian agents began reaching out to Donald Trump's presidential campaign as early as March of 2016, the Justice Department established in documents released Monday, with appeals for partnership and offers of help including "dirt" on Trump's opponent, Hillary Clinton.
But the Papadopoulos matter speaks to the heart of the mandate for Justice Department special counsel Robert Mueller — to examine potential connections between people in the Trump campaign and Russian influence-mongers.
What is now known is that Russia tried to infiltrate the Trump campaign — and did so successfully, at least at some level. Put in context of other reporting around the Russia story, it is a remarkable establishment.
I noticed you ignored the part about "foreign policy" before campaign adviser.
At least that's the way he was described in the article I read.
He was also Ben Carson's adviser before joining team Trump!

The only political rally I have ever attended was for Barry Goldwater. Henceforth, I would like to be addressed as Goldwater’s Campaign Advisor. Thank you in advance.

If I'm being completely honest with myself, I guess I'd be trying to desperately spin my way out of this too.

Cute, Bannon. Manafort RAN Trump's election campaign. That's campaign MANAGER. Papadopoulos was his foreign policy advisor, tasked with conspiring with Russia BY Trump's Campaign Supervisor (this person is not named in the released testimony--it's not Manafort b/c he didn't join until March 29 and that was March 16. This proves Manafort is not the source of the Russia conspiracy.)

That is a really dumb question.
