VPs never run the show.

If that’s what ends up happening,  I really don’t have a problem with it. I’m just not relishing the idea of another four years of torture a la trump. Any port in a storm

As long as Biden remains in office, probably not, it will be more of a group effort running the country into the ground. If Biden is removed, and Harris take over, that will just speed up how fast the country falls apart.

Absolutely. I have said before that I believe that Biden was bullied into running by progressive democrats because he is their only option. I don't want anything to happen to him but I do not think he is mentally capable of serving 4years. I beleive that women can and should be entitled to be anything they can and want to be. Harris is a very strong woman but I personally don't support what she stands for and do not support a woman to lead our country

She might, she might not.

Bear in mind that apart from Trump who made a big statement about NOT relying on the party machine to run government ALL presidents have relied on party apparatchiks.

Biden's presidential campaign is being run by Democrat  'movers and shakers' The selection of Harris is about  widening the ticket, playing to the gallery NOT about talent or policies.

I doubt Harris has the talent to throw out the apparatchiks, especially as they are the ones who are responsible for her being the VP pick.

In the event Biden is elected as President then de facto Harris is the President in waiting when NOT if, in my opinion, Biden steps down through medical or mental incapacity.

IIRC Congress could elect a new president in the event of a president standing down, being forced to stand down. Some argue that is why Pelosi is promoting Amendment 25  proposals.

Is it actually required that she wins?  At this point liberals are completely blindly self righteous, power mad and just doing whatever they want.

She will have to, because Joe Biden is not capable of being president.  He is incoherent while speaking - forgetting what he says - not answering correctly - arrogant answers like "then don't vote for me."

Quite the open ended question with many potential scenarios for it to happen, maybe as early as within the first 100 days in office.

2020-10-16 02:47:32 UTC
Absolutely. Presuming  that he wins, a likely scenario is the Democrats having Biden declared incompetent within a month of being sworn in and Harris moving up.

no the party will  run the country , biden and harris are just show pieces , they will just take  the money and run , not bad to get 4 years of so called work ,and trump well no more free presidents , he can finally get to making real money instead of working for free .

No. She'll be a key, instrumental person; but in the end There's always a top person in the administration. Of course every true leader knows how to take responsibility for their administration's failures. Leaders are lavish with praise and stingy with blame. Anyone who doesn't have that trait is a follower.

2020-10-14 09:00:56 UTC
Yes she will shortly after if they would win/ pelosi setting up and new 25 th amendment proving joe is not capable of leading our country making Harris the POTUS. why do you think her party picked Harris, ( biden didn't do it ). they are setting it up right now for one of the biggest scams we have ever seen besides the killing of President kennedy, watch who you vote for.

By far, the most important issue is Herd Immunity, a ridiculous excuse for laziness by Trump.

I would trust Biden and/or Harris with my life before I would trust Trump and/or Pence.

The conspiracy theories are all pointing that way. She is too disgusting therefore I believe Trump will win.

Pelosi is already laying the groundwork to remove Biden Via the 25th amendment .

It will totally work too . No way Biden could withstand the scrutiny declaring him incompetent .

No, he will be the President…………..
2020-10-15 13:14:36 UTC
Biden is merely the "beard" behind which hides Kamala.

If Biden wins expect a really nice inaugural, followed immediately by Kamala invoking the 25th amendment to return Joe to his comfortable retirement.

Kamala is the favorite of 0bama, but she couldn't even garner 2% of the Democrat party base so dropped out of the primaries.

She & 0bama then began the mantra that old Joe Biden must & had to pick a "woman of color" for the VP slot.

They pretended to be mulling over any & all possible VPs, but it was always Kamala all along.
2020-10-15 07:22:26 UTC
Time will tell.

She'd do a better job than either tRump or Pence though.

But then again, so would a baby.

No, Biden has a little more experience. The last VP to run the country was Dick Chaney who led W into two unnecessary wars and gave wealthy Americans a 50% break on their capitol gains tax. Although Harris, as a successful VP, may show herself as a viable candidate in 2024.

I suspect Joe will step down after enjoying at least 2 years as president.

No.  With the stacking of the supreme court it will be the non elected and non representative body that determines what laws will be tolerated or otherwise.  The courts will run the show not any Government or President.

Hopefully the people who voted do that.

That "25th amendment" article that is circulated is a double-headed weapon.  First, the Dems are desperate to the point of insanity to dump Trump.  But second, IF they can get Biden in office with Kamala as VP, he will have a medical event and they will use the 25th amendment to put her as President.

Most likely, she will try, and I think Biden will push back on that. He clearly has his own ideas, rejecting the Green New Deal. He's more of a centrist, like the Democrats of the 70s. Probably, the far Left will begin to hate him.

Yeah, the beginning to an end.

Gentle Joe Biden can be quite assertive when the situation requires a firm hand, anonymous.  You can educate yourself by pulling up the archives of C-SPAN2 gavel-to-gavel Senate sessions when Senator  Biden took the lead in sponsoring multiple bills over the years, working with his more moderate Republican colleagues with whom he was friends to get the legislation passed.

My educated guess:  Joe Biden and former California Prosecuting Attorney/Senator Kamala Harris will have a well-balanced partnership that has a high degree of mutual respect.  Pay close attention to the people the Biden/Harris administration put into key positions to undo some of the damages from the past three+ years---that will give you a lot of confidence as the first term begins.
Erik

Of course not.  That's just right-wing propaganda.
2020-10-14 20:01:15 UTC
If that happens and they win - I think Kamala will become President very quickly.  Joe get "confused" a LOT - he thinks he's running for the Senate?  He actually said that recently.

However, I really don't think they will win and we'll have four more years of Trump.
2020-10-14 19:24:01 UTC
No but she will be a key figure in the Administration.

You Trumpsters are so brain washed, I can't believe some of the misinformation that finds it's way into Yahoo Answer.  Biden does not have dementia, when I saw him debating Trump, it was Trump who acted like he had a screw loose.  OMG, I couldn't believe what an absolute bully he is, what a horrible person.  No wonder the Republicans in the Senate are afraid to cross him, yuk.
2020-10-14 15:31:29 UTC
If Biden is senile and Trump got his a*ss handed to him in his debate with Biden, does that make Trump even more senile?

And Harris is aware that Biden defeated her and still chose her as his VP. She knows that Biden will run the country after he takes the oath in January...
2020-10-14 13:50:10 UTC
No.  He has the experience. She does not.  She'll be doing a lot of learning.

The "Biden is senile" claim isn't working, dear, as should be obvious to you by now.  It's too apparent that he is NOT senile. whereas Trump has been acting like a lunatic.

Obviously that was the plan from the start. Harris couldn't win the Democrat presidential nominee, not even close. Biden is a fruit cake proven by countless videos of Biden being a fruit cake. This was easily seen from the start. The DNC thinks they are fooling everyone but in reality, these people are the fools for going out on such a high level insulting the American People's intelligence thinking they couldn't obviously see this. Pathetic!

The way things are they can 'BOTH' run the show! The main idea is to eradicate the 'DISE45E & TRE45ON' OUT of the White House & totally 'DEFEAT' the sinister 'Mastermind of EVIL' Trump, all his 'EVIL' henchmen & INSANE Trump supporters! 'Take back' our White House! =<)

Come on.  Neither will run the show.  The DNC rules the Democratic party roost and any leadership is just puppets being pulled by the strings.
2020-10-15 14:39:00 UTC
Unlike presidunce Frump, Biden will listen to his advisors and delegate authority when and where needed like a good and efficient manager of resources.  Trump's insistence on being in complete control is a symptom of his particular mental illness.

No more than Biden ran the show for the eight years of the Obama administration, an administration which had no one convicted of a felony in eight years whereas dingbat has had 7 of his 'only the best people' convicted of a felony in less than four years.

checks and balances.................something Trump didn't like.
2020-10-14 20:57:12 UTC
It will be a team effort. Because both Vice President Biden and Senator Harris respect each other.
2020-10-14 16:39:07 UTC
As president, Biden would have authority over a vice president like Harris.
2020-10-14 12:14:31 UTC
Obviously, if biden wins socialism wins.
2020-10-14 11:58:13 UTC
BOTH will take orders from the "party" headquarters, as they do presently.

But if Biden is elected, she will end up with his job, due to the likely modified 25th Amendment that is being pushed right now.

With Amy Barrett and a "packed" Supreme Court, all will be well for socialist, I mean democrat purposes.

Yes.

Joe Biden said that he was running for senate ( he’s running for president...). He’s literally losing his mind. Kamila is aware of her surroundings. Joe isn’t going to be able to help much if he is having memory loss.

That would end the world as we know it.
