11. As I read you some things the Democrats might do over the next two years if they take control of Congress, please tell me if you think each should be one of their TOP priorities, a lower priority, or should not be done at all.

j. Impeaching George W. Bush
HIGH PRIORITY 28%
LOWER PRIORITY 23%
NOT AT ALL 44%
DON'T KNOW 5%

In this Zogby poll, 52% of Americans want Congress to consider impeaching President Bush if he wiretapped American citizens without a judge's approval

Most of all, I believe in this president. Now, I know there are some polls out there saying that this man has a 32% approval rating. But guys like us, we don't pay attention to the polls. We know that polls are just a collection of statistics that reflect what people are thinking in "reality." And reality has a well-known liberal bias. ~ Stephen Colbert

So in theory GW has done something wrong. Now u start Impeachment proceedings. And meanwhile where are our priorities? First you need to violate a law currently on the books. Second you spend about a year or two proving this. And if u get past all the hearings and BS who exactly wins?

WJ Clinton lied during a police investigation regarding a sexual harrassment complaint. He lied twice. He lied during a press conference to a nation. So, impeachment really does not work.

If you feel Bush deserves this write him at the White House.

Meanwhile soldiers die and no solutions just politics as usual.

Polls often misrepresent the truth and feel of the population. Just more BS in my book. Excuses for failure in the House.

More altered / faux news.

Madamn Pelosi promised if elected she would not go forward with any sort of Impeachment of the current President. Did she lie to get into the chair and hope for a wide range plane and beyond?

I hate Math. None of these numbers add up to reality just another b*tch session.

Yes. The fact that it will take more time for the procedings than he has left is a big factor. Why waste the time and money when the repubs and the dems need to compromise on the war and come up with a working plan. The president needs to support the Congress so the Congress can support him. It is just a pissing contest on a grade school level and we Americans are letting all the politicians get away with it.

We cannot focus on a resolution in Iraq with all the bickering taking up our time.

Typical Dem/Lib spin! You used a Democrat poll to support your Dem/Lib rant here! And guess what.....that article is almost a year old now!

What a idiot! No wonder the Dems/Libs can't come up with any sort of plan for our country's problems other than "We hate Bush".

Look at the up to date news, Americans are not happy with the Dem led Congress now either. They ranted and raved about all the things they were going to do if they took the House back. Well, now they have it, and what have they done? Nothing, Nada, Zip, other than the same ole crapola, "We hate Bush".

No wonder Americans are fed up with the entire political system and not vote in record numbers.

Can only be impeached for "High Crimes and Misdemeanors".

Bill Clinton's perjury to a judge was a "High Crime" however the Democrats chose not to remove Clinton from office, thus ignoring the will of the people and the moral code of the law. Now the Democrat's show a double standard with Bush.

Most Americans have no idea of the constitutional process for impeachment nor the standards that are required.

If he were impeached based upon his approval rating than we would see the real figures.

The problem here is that his and Cheney's conduct isn't being investigated, or debated in Congress.

This is a real shame. We deserve better from our representatives. I place this squarely on Nancy Pelosi she has threatened members in the House with punishment if they introduce articles of impeachment. Her stonewalling is going to cost Dmeocrats many votes. The American public is fed up with high crimes and misdemeanors of this administration, and soon they will be showing this by voting out the dead branch democrats who don't take action and cure crime with justice. Hopefully the Rpeublicans will get these two albatrosses off their shoulders bying pressing forward for investigation, and impeachment. It would be a biug boost for the Republican party to correct the major wrong in their party leadership.

Figures lie and liars figure. Hey , how about that 113 percent of all Americans believe in Bigfoot? You get the point, I am sure. I can find a website that will support about any conclusion mankind might want to make.

Impeachment proceedings would be a gargantuan waste of time and money, and would never conclude before Bush was out of office anyway. What would be more appropriate would be that Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, and all 535 members of the most arrogant, incompetent, evil, cowardly, corrupt Congress in U.S. history [which turned the other way as Bush unconstitutionally and illegally invaded another sovereign nation for no justifiable reasons] ALL be tried in an international tribunal for high crimes against humanity, and - if convicted - they all hang just as they all arranged to hang Saddam Hussein. This whole 'war' was designed to satisfy a personal vendetta the Bush family had against Hussein; to steal all that OIL swimming underneath Iraq's sands; and to boost the sagging profits of the giant U.S. military-industrial complex. This 'war' is - and has always been - about OIL and WAR PROFITEERING at the tragic expense of the American taxpayers, 675,000 innocent Iraqis, and 3,300 U.S. soldiers who were conned into thinking they were there to bring democracy to that nation. -RKO- 05/13/07

This poll is garbage. If there were any that were polling at 50% plus the Democrats would have him on trial. They are polling and looking for it.

Well peace lover guy, what impeachable offense did he commit?? I support him.

BTW - That article had an awful lot of numbers on a lot of different issues. Not sure your math is correct. And, the sampling method seemed flawed. I'd like to cross-examine the polster on the stand.

Did you know that a President cannot be impeached if he has not committed an impeachable offense? Pelosi and Reid would have already started impeachment proceedings if there were grounds for impeachment.
