Independent; I can choose the candidate who best represents my beliefs, not the party, neither of which is exactly where i am at now.

I am independent. I was a Democrat for 28 years, but they left me when they migrated to the far left with the nomination of Obama. I will probably vote for more Republicans than ever in 2010. The Democrats have made a mess of things, and the Republicans can do no worse. Maybe they can undo some of the damage. I will not join a party, but I no longer identify with the Democratic party. I can support liberal candidates, but not radical ones like Obama.

DEMOCRAT because the prime directive of the Republicants is to steal from the poor & give to the rich. More reasons below:

The Republican brand is in the trash can. If we were dog food, they would take us off the shelf.

TOM DAVIS, memo, May 14, 2008

I have been thinking that I would make a proposition to my Republican friends ... that if they will stop telling lies about the Democrats, we will stop telling the truth about them.

ADLAI STEVENSON, speech, Sep. 10, 1952

Democrats legislate; Republicans investigate.

LYNDON B. JOHNSON, quoted in Hillary Rodham Clinton's Living History

“Republican comes in the dictionary just after reptile and just above repugnant.”

Julia Roberts (American Actress, b.1967)

“If you want to live like a Republican, you have to vote for Democrats”

Richard Gephardt quotes (American Politician, was one of the most powerful Democrats in Washington, D.C. b.1941)

“Brains, you know, are suspect in the Republican Party.”

Walter Lippmann quotes (American Journalist, 1889-1974)

I used to be a die-hard Republican but anymore I can't stand neocons or the religious right. I'm close to the Libertarian Party but with-out taking it to the extreme in which they offer no protection to those with-out.

Independent that used to be a democrat until he matured enough to understand that party politics and the democrats in particular are poison.

Democrat.

Why? Simple.

Right now the real battle in this country is btw Conserva-Dems and Lib-Dems. Fair enough.

Meanwhile, the so called Republicans obstruct everything. They are no longer functioning.

Neither.

Why not.....well that should be obvious in todays political world.

To join either side with fervor is to join a parade of MORONS so i abstain.
