the undocumented & their families per year?

Why is our government encouraging them to stay here?

And please don't give me the BALONEY about Obama's deportation numbers. The only ones being deported now are ones convicted of other crimes and that's a fact.

Federal prisoners cost taxpayers $58 a day. This does not include the cost of the facility or the staff.

I would imagine since school & housing is also provided, the cost would be more (per head).

Since people have grown insensitive to huge numbers from overdose, so as to make the actual cost "per" easy to hide, and specifics are hard to come by.

I suspect because it would be too shocking. Add the usual 20% (minimum) for waste & fraud atop that, and the reality would be stroke inducing.

That number is probably top secret. If any person who had actual data and leaked it out, he would face the wrath of the entire left wing. The FBI and CIA would be called into action and the person would suddenly become a low level bureaucrat that is lying to get his 15 minutes of fame. After he was thoroughly skewed by the CNN and MSNBC, he would mysteriously commit suicide with 6 bullets in the back of the head.

total federal net cost of households headed by illegal immigrants at under $10.4 billion

Estimates vary widely, and no consensus exists. The Urban Institute put the net national cost at $1.9 billion in 1992; a Rice University professor, whose work the Urban Institute criticized, said it was $19.3 billion in 1993. More recently, a 2007 report by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office examined 29 reports on state and local costs published over 15 years in an attempt to answer this question. CBO concluded that most of the estimates determined that illegal immigrants impose a net cost to state and local governments but "that impact is most likely modest." CBO said "no agreement exists as to the size of, or even the best way of measuring, that cost on a national level."

From another source:

Illegal alien migration into the United States costs American taxpayers $346 billion annually reported by the National Research Council. While employers of illegal aliens rake-in billions of dollars, the US citizens subsidize what may be called organized "Slavery in 21st Century America."

While Congress facilitates outsourcing, insourcing and offshoring of American jobs by the thousands weekly, that same Congress imports 182,000 legal immigrant monthly who need jobs. Another estimated 100,000 illegal aliens arrive each month without jobs. All those immigrants seize jobs from American citizens at slave wages.

What happens to the American taxpayer?

"Immigrants are poorer, pay less tax, and are more likely to receive public benefits than American citizens," said Edwin Rubenstein, reporting on the National Research Council's new book: "The New Americans: Economic, Demographics and Fiscal Effects of Immigration." The Social Contract Winter 2007-08. www.thesoicalcontract.com

The NRC found that the average immigrant household receives $13,326 in federal welfare and pays $10,664.00 in federal taxes. Thus, American taxpayers shell out $2,682.00 for each immigrant household.

In addition, the report showed that immigrants affect 15 different executive agencies of the U.S. government.

Earned Income Tax Credit-fraud is rampant and IRS does little to verify existence of children. Clean Air and Climate Change-these goals are unattainable as long as US population grows-driven by unending immigration. Emergency medical treatment-US taxpayer money provides $250 million a year to help hospitals defray costs for illegal aliens. Bureau of Land Management-the Interior Department spends $1 million to mitigate environmental damage done by illegals crossing US southern border. Migrant educational grants-intended to help states educate children of illegal workers. More fraud from over-counting. Office of Foreign Labor Certification-immigrant workers depress wages for US citizens resulting in declines in federal revenues at $100 billion annually

billions of greenbacks and better than 30 billion. the appropriate ingredient we are able to do is decrease off welfare by potential of like 50% to those who certainly desire it and supply them 6 months to locate a activity. Then shorten dying row time rather of protecting them 30 years on there doing not something while they are there for existence! its somewhat dumb. I in basic terms think of that if a individual commits a legal three times, they could desire to bypass to dying row. Why could we save them in our society and use tax funds to maintain them in penitentiary? It somewhat makes me indignant that my brother is denied clinical insurance because of fact he has diabetes however the government will pay 1000's of tax funds to poor each poor households who dont artwork and have 12 teenagers and nevertheless apply it to drugs and have nutrition stamps taking advantage of the gadget.

The Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), a conservative advocacy group that favors tighter immigration laws, argues that the answer is clear: illegal aliens cost U.S. taxpayers more than $100 billion each year.

abcnews.go.com/Business/illegal-immigrants-cost-us-100...

WASHINGTON – Someone has finally fixed an approximate taxpayer cost of between 12 million and 15 million illegal aliens residing in the U.S.

A new study by the Heritage Foundation's Robert Rector found a household headed by an individual without a high school education, including about two-thirds of illegal aliens, costs U.S. taxpayers more than $32,000 in federal, state and local benefits. That same family contributes an average of $9,000 a year in taxes, resulting in a net tax burden of $22,449 each year.

Over the course of the household's lifetime that tax burden translates to $1.1 million.

■$11 billion to $22 billion is spent on welfare to illegal aliens each year by state governments.

■Illegal households only pay about one-third the amount of federal taxes that non-illegal households pay.

■Illegal households create a net fiscal deficit at the federal level of more than $10 billion a year. If given amnesty, this number could grow to more than $29 billion.

■$1.9 billion dollars a year is spent on food-assistance programs such as food stamps, WIC and free school lunches for illegal aliens.

■$1.6 billion is spent on the federal prison and court system for illegal aliens.

■$2.5 billion dollars a year is spent on Medicaid for illegal aliens.

■About 21 percent of the population of U.S. prisons is classified as “noncitizens” from Mexico, Colombia, Cuba and the Dominican Republic. About 5 percent is listed as “unknown.”

Obama Signs Border Security Bill

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama on Friday signed a bill directing $600 million more to securing the U.S.-Mexico border, a modest election-year victory that underscores his failure so far to deliver an overhaul of immigration law.

The new law will pay for the hiring of 1,000 more Border Patrol agents to be deployed at critical areas, as well as more Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents. It provides for new communications equipment and greater use of unmanned surveillance drones. The Justice Department gets more money to help catch drug dealers and human traffickers.

158 arrested in Utah's largest ever ICE-led gang enforcement action

Authorities credit new multi-agency task force for record arrests

SALT LAKE CITY - A total of 158 gang members and individuals with gang ties, including many with prior criminal records, are facing new criminal charges or deportation following a four-month, multi-agency anti-gang surge spearheaded by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Office of Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) that represents the largest operation of its kind ever carried out in the state.

The number of illegal aliens removed from the United States by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement is UP, not down.

FY 2009 was 298,401 individuals, UP from 264,541 in FY 2008.

You choose to ignore "facts", so why should one attempt to provide you with any facts?

The entire cost is probably much less that the cost of one year in Iraq.
