What Obama health plan. Obama has only established ideas, and he doesn't even know what is in the plans.



The only plans right now are in congress. Nothing is final yet, but the preliminary reading of HR 3200 has a lot of items that will empower the government.



example - If a company doesn't offer health care to it's employees, they will be assessed an 8% payroll tax. What if a companies health care runs say 13% of payroll. At this point, why would a company not drop there health care, pay the 8% penalty, and force all the employees onto the public option? It would be better for there bottom line.



next. If there is a "public option", how can the private insurance compete. When have you ever known the government to actually be fair, for something that it controls (even partially).



next (not directly concerning the bill) but, when Conyers (chairman of the house judiciary committee) claims that he hasn't read the bill and says it would take 2 days and 2 lawyers to understand it, I think obviously the bill is too complicated, and we need to step back.



There are many other items within this 1000+ page bill that have serious questions. Follow the money, I am sure the answers are there. Politicians don't do anything in Washington, WITHOUT BENEFIT (TO THEMSELVES) someplace.

I read about 200 pages before I even hate it more...it is just the govt getting into the health care business.

It wont be free that most people are believing...the cost will be on a scale based on income..3% to 8% of your yrly gross income....if you don't have or don't want insurance you have to get it or pay the govt 2.5% of your gross income per person in your household...people already in Medical, Medicaid, Veterans care or receiving military care would not be eligible.

Doctors and hospitals would be paid based on what they already are paid with the current system....thee is also no clause that forces any hospital or doctor from refusing the govt insurance.

Illegals would be not eligible nor would they be fined or levied a tax for health care....it's business as usual with them.



So the idea that this will create a better system is a joke...it will follow the same guidelines that the current systems use to administer care...and many already know how that works.

And here's another interesting note..any money or levies collected will be deposited into the general fund...there will be no trust for the program.



So a person who earns about 30k per year would have to enroll in their employer program or the govt program or face a tax.

Obama says he would pay for 2/3 of the costs of adding tens of millions more people by cuts to medicare funding. Medicare is bankrupt and can't cover the people already due to be on it. The only way to make those funds serve even MORE people is to cut care.

Also, Obama and Congress sure don't want to be on it. They pretend we all have the same options to 'stay with our current plans' but in the real world of insurance, plans don't last forever and you move to another similar one, because laws change and costs change and they learn different ways of putting things together. So our plans will end, and even if they didn't, our employers could change them, or we might leave our job and lose them. THEN Obamacare says on page 16 that you can not enter a different 'grandfathered plan' (the kind on the market now) after that you would HAVE to buy a 'qualified' plan that fits the parameter Obamacare sets rather than the ones you want. There will be no more competition for YOU and what suits YOU best, but only for the government standard.



So we will all lose our plans, soon enough.



But CONGRESS which we pay for wouldn't have that problem.



And Congress sure doesn't want to be on Obamacare. Why should we?
